Lets say you have a $2500usd budget and a totally stock FRS auto 2013
What would you upgrade and why? I am at a bit of a crossroads. I need more power off the dead stop to merge ( I posted another thread here about this ) in that I merge onto highways a lot and I get uncomfortable with the lack of pick up. I need to improve that. But, if I can't do that for $2500 total, what else would you do with a stock FRS and $2500? |

Tires, maybe freshen up the suspension or a mild upgrade. An OpenFlash tablet will wake the power up a smidge.

2 years worth of customizations of tuning and smoothing out everything for AT (he makes tunes for MT also - but drives AT) Anyways, the low-end hesitation is gone. UEL header will aid in this area more than a EL header. Even the shifting and RPM limiter behavior with his tunes will shift and feel like butter. Highly recommended UEL Header $500-1200 depending on quality/brand - cats or no cats OFT $400/$500 Tune $50 Extra on tires or overpipe $200 |

Some examples...
Unnecessarily wide wheels and/or sticky tires. Staggered Tires/Wheels. HellaFail the car. (Oops sorry, HellaFlush) Any engine mods when you don't understand the car. That also includes FI. (Hell most don't understand any car.) Pop tunes. Electrical mods, when you don't know WTF you're doing. Swapping to a non airbag wheel in a non only track car. Cage in a non track only car. Half cage. Cheap adjustable coilovers. E85 only not spending the extra money/time to get a proper Flex Fuel setup installed. Widebody the car when it clearly doesn't need/warrant it. |

If you want to learn how to fix broken FA20s by all means go for it. You'll get plenty of practice.

What are the three wires connected to the dashboard molding?
Taking the dashboard trim off, I’ve discovered three wires going inside the trim next to the radio. Does anybody know what these three wires are they are black, white and red going into a flat piece.
