Beautiful wheels! Did you happen to weigh them?

I haven't yet. After that test fit to make sure they cleared the brakes (like Work told me they would; oddly enough, the 2-piece version will not according to Work), I just did a spot test with the ceramic coat I have, and put them back in the boxes. lol. I'm still waiting for some less dusty brake pads for my car before putting them on.

I think I remember seeing around 23 lbs for the specs I have.

Here’s supposedly forged wheels for under $2300. I feel like I’ve heard of them, buy they don’t show up often in searches.

@timurrr used to run Titan 7 T-S5's on his 1st gen, and he's running them on his 2nd gen too. I think he likes them...

Konig Hypergram are a nice wheel, flow formed for ~1000 USD although these are manufactured in China if that matters to you. Here are mine which are 17x9 +40.

Nice looking wheels! How long have you had them, and how do 9 inchers feel after riding stocks?

I’ve been doing lots of research, at this point more for fun. Wheels made in China can be of high quality, it just depends on the people, the company, the process, the quality standards, etc. I notice the Konigs have a load rating of 1190 lbs vs some others at 1500, but our cars are light anyway, and I don’t know how accurate/truthful those numbers are between brands.

I’ve added load ratings to my app when I could find it: http://wheels.ft86partpicker.com/

They feel good, mine are mostly for track use but I usually street drive them to the track most of the time. The only real thing I can say about them for daily driving is that I notice the steering is a bit heavier but that makes sense when you increase your tire footprint and you get used to it really quickly. I'll also note the other sizes that fit our cars are 17x8 +40 and 18x8.5 +38.

Added more wheels to my app: https://wheels.ft86partpicker.com. Also added a "Sort by Price / Weight" to get an idea of value (not including strength, but maybe I could factor in load rating?).

ESR Apex series seem promising (1587lb load rating, "rotary forged"), but many sites mention 29 lbs for an 18x8.5, which seem ridiculously high. Before reaching out, I'm curious if anyone has found/seen the actual weight of really any of the Apex series wheels?

In this post in the APEX forged wheels thread, a user weighed his VS5-RS wheels and the claimed weight was accurate to within 0.16 pounds (his weighed 16.56 pounds vs. a claimed ~16.4 pounds on the website). I would expect that the claimed weight for the flow formed wheels is similarly accurate.

The six 17x9 ARC-8 wheels I've had have come in 0.3+ lbs heavier than spec. Pretty close, but a little off.

Chinese manufacturers make forged wheels, then put oversea brand sell to customers for over $2k. Exactly same wheel from same factory sale in China for less than $1000 a set. What are US buyers paying for? That’s why I stay away from made in China forged wheels. Quality wise I believe they are on average.

A few other wheels I’ve been thinking of adding to the list. I’m not familiar with the brand, but they are flow-formed, under/around 20 lbs, and have a 5x100 bolt pattern available..

https://www.bavarwheels.com/wheels_7_1099.html
https://www.bavarwheels.com/inventor...t.php?pid=1099

If I read that right though, the load rating is VERY LOW - 698.73. Can that be right?

https://curvaconcepts.com/flow-forged/cff300/
https://wheelsuppliers.com/product/c...x120-gunmetal/

Has anyone had any experience with these brands?

Another brand I haven’t heard of:

https://www.pro-track.de/de/Felgen/P...15&language=en

About 19.4 lbs for 18x8.5 which is not bad, but not sure how much to ship, if there are US importers, and also the wheel has a familiar design so nothing out of the ordinary.
