I did buy a 3 bar Bosch TMAP today with the same 4 pin connector as the 2.5 currently on there. Part number 0 281 002 845. I called Bosch a few days ago to figure out what a good sensor number would be and they were beyond unhelpful. I have considered this lately. This was my first time ever tuning a car and I've learned a lot about questions to ask a tuner before the car ever gets there. There is a Subaru specialist here in Orlando that I've heard good things about. However they've already put the license on my ECU and have ran the car on the dyno already and I owe them money for that. I even looked at CSG since I have your MXP touring exhaust on my car. I only went to this shop because they were a referral from someone here who knows cars. |

Run, run ruuuuun away from that shop.
Just have Zach e-tune it. There are some gentlemen on this forum who are competent e-tuners as well, you can see their posts in the software/tuning section of the forum

Bosch will not be helpful; their target customers are not consumers but rather, OEMs, manufacturers, suppliers, etc. |

i'm posting here the 2.5 TMAP values that Edelbrock itself uses on their carb tunes, as this whole secret-circle and mystery cloud around these things needs to stop
Pressure Offset: -0.0165 (bar) Multiplier: 0.543 (bar/V) min V: 0.01 max V: 3.91 (can be raised) as far as i know, they don't touch the Air Intake Sensor scaling, so probably the oem scaling of the temp side in the maf is good enough for the temp side of this new TMAP Last edited by tomm.brz; 03-16-2023 at 04:49 AM. |

I'll echo everyone else and say get a new tuner. Last thing you want is for someone with zero experience on the platform tuning your car. You'll only have headaches down the line.

Absolutely. I'm going to go pay them for my ecutek license and never let them touch the car again. I'll also probably tip the guy who actually tried to tune it, he spent a lot of time looking for the info the shop owner never bothered looking up.

I fixed the vacuum leak! Turns out it was the intake manifold gaskets... I performed a smoke test and closed off the whole system was not able to diagnose the leak, very weird. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out when I said screw it, I'm just going to replace the gasket. Well, I'm glad I did that. The passenger side intake manifold gasket had the smallest tear in it which I am certain was causing the leak. I was also certain the last time I seated the SC it was not on correctly. Between either of these two things were the problem. Car is running very smooth and holding boost pressure strong. Just need to have the tuner adjust my tune. So stoked to drive the car now!! Thank you all for the help. |

When you performed the smoke test what line did you connect into? I need to do a test on mine for air leaks also.

You can make your own with some off the shelf parts from most hardware stores, along with the Honda Civic Denso MAP sensor port adapter from SiriMoto https://www.procivic.com/pages-produ...048/index.html I just put mine on earlier today. Edit: This is for the Harrop application that uses the OEM MAP sensor not the TMAP. There may be port adapters for the Edelbrock-supplied TMAP sensor though, the rest of the parts would be the same. |
