High Output Alternator

Hey folks, does anyone here have experience with a reputable company that produces high-output alternators?

I have a couple in mind, however, wanted to see if any of you have personal experiences...if any?

According to my calculations, I will need at least 217 AMPS to power my sound system alone. Of course, this number is the best-case scenario with my 2500watt system being fed at 100%.

I have many other upgrades so I'd probably opt for a 250-270 AMP alternator.

Either way, just wanted to see if you all had suggestions or ideas.

Thanks in advance!

V/R,
Ace

I have heard good thing about DC Power alternators. It would probably be worth the time to call them and see what they say.

You're welcome, I can't wait to see this car finished. It is not my style in some aspects, but the quality of the work is spectacular. I would love to spot this driving around town.

just be sure to watch ratings at rpm. many high output alternators only output their rated power at 3000-5000 rpm...

Haha, yeah, thanks man.

I wanted to build this car with everything in mind! Drift, drag, show, audio comp, etc.

Rather than she be a one-trick pony, I wanted to push the envelope and modify her in every aspect possible.

Again, my main objective would be to get her into SEMA next year here in Vegas. *Fingers crossed* *Wishful thinking*

DC power is a great option. I have one in my KA24DET S14 drift car.

Replacing my old alternator solved a power-draining issue I was having as well.

Cool, I'll check them out!

Sounds like DC Power has a couple of positive reviews so far

Does anyone make a 'light-weight' alternator, rather than a high output one?

I bought an FRS so I don't have to replace anything on the s14 going forward. It was too damn expensive.
