Gave it a wash and I've turned off the fake engine noise for good.
No more banging into the fuel cut because the fake engine sound is weird. Big improvement. I do need a mild exhaust now. |

Threw on my track pads and installed my new Apex VS-5RS's!
I went with the 17x8.5's, I'm still kind of new to aftermarket wheels. I liked the idea of just having a wheel where I didn't need to worry about fitment and adding spacers or making any adjustments. Suspension is stock, other than -2 degrees of camber added via camber plate up front. Just a few cell phone pictures, need to get better soon. I think a good drop gained with a nice set of coilovers and an AP Sprint BBK would really set this thing off. Obviously, a bit of a gap, but I think I'd rather spend more on seat time than new suspension anyway. For now at least. |

I would love to hear a bit more exhaust noise, but due to how little sound deadening is in this car, I'd be afraid doing anything to make the "good noises" more audible would have to be really loud to over come the "bad noises (road noise/tire noise). The combined effect would be deafening in the car. I did loose some engine base sound after killing the noise maker (though I think the noise maker sound is terrible) because the engine is fairly quiet, the overall effect made the car interior less loud and easier to hear the radio, telephone calls, and passengers. To cut down on overall interior noise levels I had to reduce "good noise" because there is little to be done to reduce the "bad noise". |

Installed clear JDM side markers (how original)
Installed Noble NBS wide angle mirrors. Made a huge difference especially with the blue tint, just have to get used to the idea that cars are A LOT closer than they appear in the mirrors, but they are very wide angle. Also installed the GrimmSpeed Post MAF pipe and removed the permanent filter layer from the airbox. Disabled the fake engine sound again and this time, the engine has a deep growl in the intake noise and actually sounds very nice inside the cabin now. Will be leaving the fake sound disabled from now on. |

I gave in and did the clear sides. They're such a good match with the silver, I couldn't resist.
EDIT: just went out for tacos and holy shit these clear side markers are BRIGHT. Last edited by AK2112; 11-04-2022 at 07:52 PM. |

I'm still waiting for some less flashy K&N cone based intake options rather than worrying about whether or not I left any debris while removing that carbon filter thingy. |
