They will save that for when sales start to drop off.
There was no real reason they could not have offered them as an option right from the start if they wanted to so they must be holding out for something.

For the mid cycle refresh I'm sure, but it still pisses me off..

It'll be interesting to see if they make that exhaust available as an accessory (sans the black tips please).

Actually, I like it. It still has all the aesthetic issues I don't like on the car, but if I had to buy one, this would likely be it.

Oh they will be scooped up fast. Colour is so subjective that some will think that is the greatest ever!

Like the yellow of the RS1 it suffers from "prefaded paint syndrome" that looks old even when new. No secret I am a big fan of the oranges and yellows but that just does not do it for me at all.

So glad I wasn't holding out for an SE...

I cannot, for the life of me, picture myself riding around in a sparkly orange car.

Sparkly orange would be great. Washed out orange not so much.

I liked, not a boring color
Could it be better? For sure.

Hope it sells quickly for them to prepare next special edition.

I think it will be. I remember the first toyota press photos of track bred were terrible as far as showing how bright the red actually is. And press photos in general have been absolutely awful for this generation. i think In a natural environment/lighting it will look totally different than what we see now

Pretty sure it will be very close to the Subie orange which is disappointing even in person.

I should have said sparkly deep orange would be great.

EDIT YA they both are coded WCL (As discussed at length before) and it is not a pretty colour. Subjectively of course.

I really like the simplicity of the Red and White color scheme for the cup cars, and the sponsors definitely make sense to me based on the OEM supplier decisions. Formerly worked under Continental Automotive, there was a bit of buzz for the increased intake of Toyota orders for SRR4 sensors and especially for ARS5 sensors. Continental is leading in terms of market share for ADAS in a competitive market and the products are really advanced in their processing capability. I just wonder if we will ever see a Toyota production vehicle with Continental ExtremeContacts. Meanwhile, Stratasys has some crazy Carbon Fiber films that can be used for 3D extrusion that work amazing. Possibly might be looking at custom aero extrusions from them for the series if future years allow it.

Y'all are definitely on top of the comparisons today. I now can't unsee the Tony the Tiger side profile, and perhaps maybe the stripes will grow on me. Reminds me of the last time I ever ate Frosted Flakes, which is like 4 years now.
