Considering the CE they already showed off, this was unexpected. Will be a mega unicorn.

Yes, the special edition or 10th anniversary are the same thing. It will be available as AT or MT, but no option for base or premium. Most likely they will all be based on a premium spec

Oh wow, awesome find. So if the only GRC "package" variations are essentially the premium color, how might the performance, technology and cold weather packages for the core be handled? Canada is getting all of those options too I thought.

Yes so essentially (for canada at least) there are 2 models; Core and Morizo. Within the Core model, there are two packages; Core or Circuit Special Edition. The package code changes based on Paint colour as Premium paints cost more and use a different code to adjust that cost.

As far as a performance, tech, or cold weather package. That must be for the US? I don't have access to any of that. Up here Toyota doesn't have any "cold weather" packages, block heaters are dealer installed.

The vehicle guide should hopefully be out next month. I am not supposed to share the PDF, but I will definitely share all the notable information!

We get standard heated mirrors and wheel well protectors so maybe those are included in the US package.

Ah OK. Yeah there are 3 separate packages for the Core (US) per the press release. All of the stuff in the 3 packages are things the Circuit Edition gets standard.

https://pressroom.toyota.com/heat-fo...er-gr-corolla/

Option Packages

GR Corolla Core Grade is available with the following packages:

Performance package: Includes front and rear Torsen Limited Slip Differentials (LSD). 4-piston aluminum fixed-caliper disc brakes with red-painted calipers and GR logo; 14-in. x 1.1-in. ventilated and slotted rotors (front), and 2-piston aluminum fixed-caliper disc brakes with red-painted calipers and GR logo; 11.7-in. x 0.7-in. ventilated rotors (rear).

Technology package: Includes JBL® Premium Audio system with Clar-Fi®, and Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging.

Cold Weather Package: Includes heated front seats and heated steering wheel.

Unhappy

I'm worried that the CE is going to cost too much, but if I went for a Core instead I want all the option packages, which would probably cost just as much LOL.

I don't think you'll have to worry about the CE in your calculations, unless you are very lucky.
