IS 250 y32 3.73 LSD for FI application
Okay--I'm back in the 86 game after ~7 yrs & been doing multiple searches on this subject, but not seen the Y32 discussed.
My understanding is the the M85 IS300 diff is the best option--but they're relatively difficult to source, at least at this time. There are several Y32 LSDs available, but are they comparable to the M85 in terms of performance capability? I *believe* the M85s are Torsen-type diffs, but not sure on the Y32. The car is used for AutoX & DEs, primarily--so performance is important. TIA.

It's not limited slip, so the change in gearing is essentially worthless

My understanding is that the diffs that came out of F-Sport IS250s were LSDs. Is this not correct?

Now getting conflicting info that none of the Y32 F-Sport diffs are LSD even though they're advertised as such?

The ones we want (LSD) are marked with axle code stickers M98 and M85. The M98 is from an automatic IS300, and is a 3.9 final drive ratio. The M85 is from the manual and is 3.7
