However, internal combustion engines are heat transfer engines. If we forget about winter and summer blends of gasoline, E85 ethanol contains 81,900 BTU/gallon and E10 gasoline contains 111,800 BTU/gallon. If an E85 engine burns 70% more fuel than a gasoline engine (assuming the injectors and fuel pump can handle that increased volume), the E85 engine will burn 1.7 gallons of E85 fuel versus 1.0 gallon of E10 fuel. • 1.7 gallons (E85) times 81,900 BTU/gallon = 139,230 BTUs. • 1.0 gallons (E10) times 111,800 BTU/gallon = 111,800 BTUs. I know this is an extremely crude method to estimate power potential, but if this relationship holds true, the E85 engine has the potential to “release” about 25% more energy than the E10 engine. Based on a 200 hp engine that equates to an additional 50hp. Again, I acknowledge this down and dirty estimate may be fraught with error, but this seems to support your estimate of a 40 whp gain. |

Why not load the stage 2 tune? If is tailored specifically for such header. Could've seen more actual gains vs the stage 1. |

Me? I got Pro Speed Racing one's. The exhaust guy that fitted them nearly wept at the beauty of the collector. $750.
The main gain is in removing the restriction of the cats in the headers. Where in Aus are you? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk |
