the shoes goes on the foot as well. all the times insiders ynguldyn and A70TTR were right you seem to always reply with "if you throw enough shit on the wall some of it will stick". i can admit there are trolls on the net and that the click-bait media isn't always correct, but it seems you think everyone and everything on the web is fake news. i can definitely see your POV as well. anyone can make an account and claim xyz. its not easy to separate the trolls from the legitimate sources. all i can say is the people that have been mention haven't left us astray; in the end we'll have to make up our own minds and choose who or what to believe. yeah i don't think we'll see anything major until we're closer to the launch date. the PR is Sep. 27, 2019 and spy shots are Oct. 15, 2019. |

We don't have a performance package option here. No need for Brembo brakes or Sachs suspension parts. It seems to me strange to make all the effort getting an approval for the new regulations, to print new booklets for July 2020 and onwards, to update the country's central site and say after a few days WE STOP PRODUCTION. At same time it is even more weird hearing (coincidence?) that new BRZ might not be offered in Japan at all. Subaru will continue sell it only overseas. Only the 86 will be available in their domestic market.

Starting to see why I am so cynical about the accuracy of so many things presented as "facts" now?

1. You’ve got @14stu who is an instructor at a track with a mate who is the track manager, who has told him about the Toyota event. I doubt he’s made it up. He’s been a member since 2014 with over 500 posts, unless you think he’s coming on here to deliberately talk shit? 2. You’ve got @gymratter who is also a member on the Supra forum and from his past experience has found the Supra forum member Supra93 has been a source of reliable information early. I do get your point of view being cynical with rubbish articles and the like, but I’m still interested at what comes from the above 2. I doubt @14stu has posted 500 odd posts to come on here to make up a story about a track manager and Toyota etc. Unless he’s done it before? You’ve been a member longer than me Still curious to see what comes of it. The Supra93 guy, he appears to release info early looking at the other forum, which has apparently been accurate. I guess you have to weigh it up, either way I’d be interested to hear what they have to say. Remember they’re not motoring.com.au journalists after clicks for extra income. Unless you think they’re trolls or after some sort of notoriety... What’s your view on the above 2? Last edited by Dirty Harry; 07-31-2020 at 09:22 AM. |

No I do not think for one second that he is making stuff up but that doesn't mean the "information" he is receiving is accurate nor true. I will strongly congratulate him if the info is true but I just simply do not believe it at this point. I have not gone back through the Supra site o see how much of the info provided proved to be false but it is easy to say somebody was "close" or "right" if they keep updating and changing their statements. Everybody wants to believe what supports their own thoughts so it is easy to pass over the stuff that was wrong and only remember what was right. My profession over the last 30 years has been data driven. In that I have come to disbelieve anything not supported by facts from an official source. There have been literally thousands of things present on this forum (and the Supra) as "fact" over the years that turned out to be way off base. Speculation may be fun but when information i given as fact without support then it is useless. If the people stating these things want to back it up in some manner then cool but otherwise I will continue to think of them as some kid in their parents basement that reads a bunch of article and then presents his opinion as real information. It is fun that we have been told annually by "insiders" that there will be, without a single doubt, a turbo coming next year every single year since 2013. How are people enjoying their 2014 turbo cars? All in all everybody has a right to express their opinion here and everybody else has the right to counter it. They expressed theirs and I countered with mine. I will continue to counter until proven wrong or vindicated by the facts and reality.
