Keep in mind that even though it appears to be that is NOT in any form an official Subaru channel or magazine.
Because the speaker is sponsored by Subaru does not mean he is privy to the info. He is speculating like everybody else. It may be informed speculation but it should not be taken as fact. Yet.

Wasn’t the editor of Subaru Magazine on the channel as a guest? Surely if it’s called Subaru Magazine they’d have some involvement.

I doubt a company would let you name your magazine with their name on the title without their consent and allow you to write bullshit or put a centrefold in the middle of the magazine etc. without the lawyers knocking on your door.

The channel is the Subaru magazine one. It is NOT a Subaru channel nor publication. It is in no way officially affiliated with Subaru. It is simply another privately owned magazine/channel dedicated to the make.
The companies let all the other clickbaits spew out bullshit so why would this be different?
As I said their opinions and speculation may be better informed than some but they are still speculations and opinion and should be read as such.
Notice the distinct lack of any logos, trademarks or other links to the Subaru company on the cover?

@Tcoat - If what you’re saying is true, I’m surprised something like this would exist without breaching copyright laws? Surely they would be interested in the content of the magazine that bears their name or given some sort of consent.

I just find it hard to believe if the magazine started writing false articles about Subaru for example: switching to rear wheel drive and replacing the boxer engine with a V8 that they would care less about the content. I’d assume it’d be a lawyers picnic.

But get your point about the logos etc. just amazed something like that can exist.

There are thousands of paper and electronic magazines for specific manufacturers products that have no affiliation with the actual manufacturer. Hell even this forum uses the make and model names in their set up and god knows we are not even close to official!
Using the brand names isn't a big deal I am sure as long as they do not attempt to represent themselves as a company affiliated publication.
