Following that trend, a new Supra would need to be 450hp (not 350hp) at 3400lbs and could be priced at $65k+, but then again, the Supra was so overpriced that it wasn't selling, so again, this will be a niche market of buyers who decide to buy the overpriced Supra over its competitors.

I think I could live with that white one if it came with the 4 cylinder turbo and a >$40K price tag. I wonder if the wife would like to trade her car in on that.

Expect prices to be inflated even more. How much were those Focus RS’s going for or the Demons? Dealer markups will balloon the price unless they make enough volume.

@gymratter
Where did he get the tip on the list of colors? Some announcement I missed? Or are these based on a wish list of past production colors?

I have owned 53 cars in my lifetime. 4 have been purchased new. The car I currently drive is now 18 years old and one of the best cars that I have ever owned. What do you think the odds are that I would pay an extra $10K to get the new shiny?
I can see the dealers gouging on the Supra when it come out but the 4 cylinder Supra will come later and by then the hysteria will have died down. Besides that, anyone that is willing to pay the "exclusive" and "me first" tax would undoubtedly go for the 6 cylinder turbo as a four banger Tier 2 car would be beneath them. I see a $60Kish price for the 6 cylinder Supra mentioned again in the Motor Trend article.

Colors are more or less confirmed, and yes it's technically not public information. I may be missing one or two colors as well if it was not mentioned to me, but 7 colors seems about right. The Frozen Grey will be a satin painted finish, not gloss like how I rendered it. I'm guessing it'll cost a bit extra too. Looks cool, but you're screwed if it gets scratched. I'll be going with the Yellow if I do end up getting one.
