This weekend was very good for me at Sebring though I feel terrible for a few friends that had some less than ideal weekends. Car was on point, especially after a tire pressure adjustment, realizing Saturday's practice runs were too pushy and needed to be slightly free-er. Best of the day was a 48.8xx, more than enough for the class win. I was aiming for some well seasoned drivers in quicker cars (Jason in the M3 for one) and fell short but I felt I got most of my ability and the car out in this final run. The data isn't perfectly synced as I had to do it manually but it should be fairly close. SoloStorm on Android but I'm using an old GoPro HD2 so I have to do it all manually and piece it together later.

I think I read it right, but you are on Dunlops now? I assume you did 235/40?
38f seems quite high for what most of us in the Mid Atlantic were running last year on Z2s. I liked 32-34f/30-32r, but your shocks may be set differently. Keep posting vids/results for those of us who are frozen out! |

out of curiosity how accurate is your throttle position meter?
there are a couple places where im looking that you are just mashing on the throttle then off. especially in the slaloms. it seems like it was pretty well spaced out that you could be constant on the gas at 70%

I started off of those pressures coming from a very well performing national BRZ on same tires and I am slightly over the triangles up front as is. Quote:
It's fairly accurate. I likely was off of the gas if it said I was. I could possibly use more but I'm trying to work on positioning more than anything (though I was far off it appears)

reason i mention that is with such drastic throttle position changes it might be causing the to push out further. i mean unless your timing is perfect with your steering input and throttle mashing on a consistent basis, then yes working on your line will be beneficial. just my two cents that throttle positioning should also be on your areas to address.

Car was running just right today, no changes needed. This is exactly what I wanted at my last event before Dixie (2 weeks away). Took the class win but I wanted to get into the 39s. This was a 40.23 and I had a 40.20, but I forgot to turn on the data logger! I was slightly closer to the cones on that run too.

Day one, I sucked big time. This was my best run and I was just late on left on the run trip and cost me big time. My car is setup superbly, as Steven demonstrated, taking first place by a large margin. However, I demonstrated I'm still mediocre at this, finishing in the final trophy spot, 5th.
Weekend was great, spending time with family and friends I have seen in a while, as well as making new ones. Just wish I could have figure out how to read the course at speed a little better. My second day, I felt like I ran better but felt back from 4th to 5th, where I finished. 5th is in the trophies but IMO trophies past 3rd are a joke so I might as well have finished last. Very disappointed with how I drove, especially after reviewing the videos. I see I am significantly later making inputs than my brain thinks I am. I tell myself to go WOT before the apex if I'm slow (this car will do, no torque and all) and I see it happen after. Same with steering inputs. Weekend was great, spending time with family and friends I haven't seen in a while, as well as making new ones. Just wish I could have figure out how to read the course at speed a little better. We had data problems day 2 and had to fall back on manual data setup and there was no OBD data on that. My caveat to that is the dinner cost should be proportional to the amount of smack which was laid down. I think you are in filet territory there

The BRZ is already well balanced for how I drive, but I have a tendency to get a little oversteer mid-corner. I don't want to stiffen the front too much and have it understeer either. How do you feel about the Strano bar? I know it's a little lighter than stock and kinda mid-ranged in terms of stiffness (but stiffer than stock), but I haven't had experience with a Twin which has an aftermarket FSB, so I have no way to compare.

If you're getting just a bit of oversteer, Strano bar is just what you want.
It's the second weakest aftermarket frontbar on the market (and it's good for that reason). I had one of the big ones before and I hated my car then
