Yeah, I remember reading about that too, but I think Toyota decided to sell the FT-86 here too (I'm praying).

I'd really hate if that were the case. In any event, if we didn't get a factory turbo'ed version, I plan on turboing mine and rebadging the scooby if that's what we end up getting. Really praying for a turbo'ed Yota version.

We we first starting building the "new" model Corolla and Matrix they lines ran very, very slowly to ensure that there were very few issues with the new cars. When there were, it was usually a design or engineering issue and not a build quality one.

Im guessing that even if Subaru is going to build the FT86 that Toyota will make sure it is done correctly and to their standards.

Only because there is nothing in Toyota's inventory that appeals to me. The Ft will hopefully change that.

I think next summer would be overly optimistic. I think two years is probably pretty accurate... and yea too far away

At least we got this place to shoot the sh*t with each other about the car until then. Hopefully before you know it ppl will be posting pics of their just delivered FT86s

We should all agree to stop mentioning the massive amount of time until its release.

Deal?

I can't believe some of you would have the patience to wait 3 years; this isn't some BMW 335i it's a Toybaru! Quality should be fine.

I'm probably going to get the first year model but part of me wants to wait because I really don't want to get shafted the way the 2008 WRX guys did when the 09's came out with 265hp.

The rule is normally to let pass 2 years for american car and 1 year on japanese

But with the FT86, ouch i'll be tough to wait a whole year!!
