Ya it really isn't bad, the painting takes the most time. I updated the second post with painting instructions.

Would it be possible for you to test fit the OEM or 17" wheels clear the brakes?
Thanks for the tread.

Wondering what is sticking out of the front of the caliper towards the inside of your wheel. Looks round... Can you take some better up close pics of the fitment of the caliper inside your wheel? Also what offset is the wheel you are using? @etc

Thanks for the write-up! About to purchase this setup myself. +1 for wondering the offset needed...Currently on stock wheels but that will change soon. I'm nearly positive they won't clear them.

Looks like about $750 with drilled/slotted rotors, stock pads, and stainless lines. Soooooo cheap. Very happy to find this

So after doing some searching and reading, the round thing I'm seeing in the original posters pictures is something that GM added to their pads for NVH. I guess the early caliper and pad setups made a bit of noise and well.... You can't have that on a Cadillac...

So they added some small amount of weight to the pads.

Aftermarket pads like Hawks and such do not have these weights.

My concern with these originally was that I am going to try these under a 17" wheel so space is of a concern. The OP is running 18" wheels and space is less of a concern.

Red Anodized Metalcast ?

http://duplicolor.com/product/metalc...tomotive-paint

Any way that I could use this paint on these or any calipers ? Would I be able to paint them with a high temp primer or even use high temp paint, then spray the Anodized Metalcast over the high temp paint then add a few layers of clear ?

Sorry I have neglected the thread for a bit. That is correct, those are these odd wheel weights GM put on camaro SS pads. I happened to have the camaro SS pads so I am using them until my track pads come in.

Don't worry about them the stock ATS pads don't have them and none of the aftermarket ones will.

I haven't had the stock wheels in years unfortunately so I can't test fit. I will try to measure from the center point to the edge of the caliper though next time I have the wheels off (should be next week to put new pads on).

Don't really know, it says good to 500f, unless you track your car that should be plenty. Even if you do track it that may be sufficient.

Only thing I'm not cool with is having to drill out and tap the oem spindles. Basically you ruin any chance of using these spindles for stock parts again.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that i will be track testing these rotors at Gingerman Raceway on Friday 5/13.

I am friends with the owner of ctsvbrakeswap.com. He has offered up a sponsership for me to run them. I run in the HPDE+ Class for GRIDlife Time Attack. My previous track record was 1:46.5xx on Pump gas with a tune, RS-3's and Stance USA Coilovers.

I will be running this kit with EBC Yellow pads (same pads i had in oem calipers) I have Stainless brake lines and Stoptech fluid.

We are hoping for positive results. These are momentum cars on the track. I am a veeerrrrrry late braker, and I will not be holding back during testing.

THIS KIT WILL GET A WORKOUT.

Stay tuned.
