does it bother anyone that they still don't use just 1 piece of glass for the quarter windows and have to bisect the two windows with that piece of plastic trim? one of the few gripes i have with the 400z, weird how it isn't easier just to have 1 piece.. guess this is a small appreciation for what we get on the twins along with that little piece of fixed glass next to the a-pillar instead of some plastic.

It seems to be a carry-over from the Z31. I think it is subject as to whether a bunch of divided glass is better than integrating the mirror into the A pillar and dividing the B pillar by the plastic when the B pillar can be seen beneath the moulding on cars like the 86. I'm kind of indifferent.

I've seen this one before, but that has got to be the oddest car commercial I've ever seen. I just don't get the message. Seems like "buy this car to piss off everyone that loves you".

Well, from that video we can definitely note that men were the target audience.

We see young men climbing a fence, in a work zone, perhaps a rock quarry, where they are having fun, doing donuts, hanging from the car, shooting fireworks in the air, running around naked, free. Rebellious and wild, youthful, non-conforming to rules.

We also see older men buying the car and surprising their partner with the purchase. This part is less conventional. It appears counter to a message they would want to showcase. Are they saying the car is not practical, and it is too expensive? Are the owners selfish for buying this car for themselves? It is harder to tell.

The converse could be the message, that this car is for the enthusiasts who want it despite any backlash they might get, who are a little selfish, who may wish to have a real sports car before they are too old, to feel a little youthful and alive, or whatever. Someone who is willing to be a little rebellious or defiant, youthful and free, and a non-conformist or selfish. Screw the gf/wife; get the car.

Or maybe, the target for it were woman with a "Get over yourselves 3itches, we be buying the car anyway so get with the program".

Either way, a very odd marketing take.

Yeah i did not get that commercial at all.....

The way teenagers were enjoying themselves, and spouses were getting pissed off for some reason that the husbands bought a sports car....

I thought the message was "screw everything, enjoy the car"
