My opinion is that it's an artist's guess based on the teaser pic.
But it's probably close. (Wheels are awful, though...)

it's fake.
just wait until Geneva. if you can't wait another month for solid information when we've already been waiting this long, then go get another hobby, please.

Judging by the seats, the reflections on the car and the floor it looks like it's a chop combining the accents from the teaser pic with the pics of the Toyota in the factory
Very nice efforth tho, but I doubt that the only thing changes will be the front.

^ I was going to say the exact same thing about the seats and factory.
I do have to admit that the headlights look better in this picture compared to the ones in the garage teaser

Subaru STI / FT-86 G-sport
BC's article about the upcoming FT-86 doesn't reveal much new info, just that the top versions, badged as G's and STi, are very likely to be powered by a turbocharged engine. The naturally aspired FB20 engine, which will power the standard versions, will produce 180 ps and 20.5 kgm of torque. That's less than the expected 200 ps, but I guess as the launch date approaches, more accurate info will be revealed.
The low weight should enable the FT-86 to be among the "greenest" cars in its class (earlier post), and the estimated fuel efficiency is 17.5 km/L (10.15 mode). The overall dimensions of the FT-86 (L x W x H) are 4,160 x 1,760 x 1,260 (mm Read more: Japanese Car Design Corner / 日本自動車設計角: FT-86 variants FT-86のバリエーション http://jp-cardesigncorner.blogspot.c...#ixzz1DFLxdUZG If you appreciate my work, then please use a reference for the content you copied Under Creative Commons License: Attribution Non-Commercial |

I'm not feeling this one. They didn't even get the updated headlights right, so I'm guessing earlier, less-accurate info.

Love the BBS wheels. Too bad though if they came on the car, the price would be adjusted accordingly.

the renderings from terrari's posts are, in fact, old. i bought a best car magazine issue with those same renderings back in december. didn't think the article and renderings were even worth scanning and posting here at the time.
the pic from the op is in fact new, but like others have said aside from the headlights everything looks the same as the ft-86 mark I. edit: the creases underneath the headlights are a different shape. what looked like vents to the front brakes are also gone. this is consistent with the garage teaser pic. the vents which were on the top of the front fenders appear to have been moved to the back directly behind the front wheel wells. this looks much more natural to me. I knew the pics were from the Dec issue and do not show the FT-86-II, But that STI is so good looking. |
