When the F-22 was being flight tested it carried an addition to the nose for instrumentation. I'm sure those are still around somewhere, just seems like an opportunity missed to "poke some fun" at the Chinese....

i repaired many, many cassette decks pulled out of the garbage with replacement radioshack belts in the 90's. none of them had any other mechanical issues. keep the technik's stuff alive as long as possible! it's good gear!

Also replacing the 6 caps. Common for them to cause inconsistent speed. They're 50 years old... Single sided pcb and through hole, should be a lot easier than the smd caps I just replaced on one of my squeezeboxes to fix it's analog output section.
