You must not drive it hard then. The 3rd gear synchro are the weak links on Hondas. I had 276,xxx miles on my GSR before I retired it and had to replace the clutch twice. Other than that, the car was bulletproof!

Don't say that too loud, the manual people are going to burn you alive like a witch back in the day. Those words are a blasphemy XD

so... the weeks where we start to sit in silence again since nothing new will happen for a long time in regards of news, on this car.

hmm... I wonder what the Automatic shift stick thing is gonna look like, maybe the old T shape like in old toyota. Or will it mimic the manual look like the EVO

It might look like a little puzzle type deal. And S+ S- on the bottom or whatnot. O:

IMO sports cars are meant to be driven...with a manual transmission.

If "6AT" is some form of a DSG gearbox, I'll consider it. Especially when I'll be commuting back and forth next year between OC and LA after work for class. Otherwise, 6MT. After driving my bro's 2010 GTI with DSG, I was very convinced. It's quite an amazing piece of tech.

When I first bought the car, I drove it like a stole it. I was racing anybody and everybody from a stop light, even when they weren't racing. I've been taking it easy these days, but I haven't had any 3rd gear issue as of yet.

I really do hope there's no option for synchro-rev matching in this car. This was one of the reason why I decided not buy a 370z. When I heel-toe into the corners or stop light, I want everyone to know it is all Driver and not Car.

I don't think so, like the fact that they would put a rev match and it's an option you know even on the 370z you can just buy one with out it. Most people don't even know what rev match is, but real enthusiast can tell which Z is which easy. IT's just one of them neat option if they do provide it they will be the second in the industry with it.

i think a regular transmission would be cheaper and lighter so thats my choice but i dont understand all this hating on technology. sports cars are made to go fast so when cars have a dct thats faster than a manual i think its better. we arent hating on fuel injection or valve timing or stickier tires or even synthetic fluids.

why would you want to take your hands off the wheel more than you have to?

you can turn it off with the push of a button. just do one better and loose the synchros because as of now, its still alot of car doing shifting
