I'm in Southern California so my weather is pretty stable even during the winter, so I lowered my max RPM to 1000 for my operating temperatures and everything is fine.

I do have my RPM higher under 32°, but it's never that cold here.

The hard part was finding a def to get to 'MAF Correction after Start'

That folder was not in the def for my tune so I got a def from

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83945

You have to make sure the def cal id matches your cal id. I am new to this tunig so there are better people here to ask for advice.
So my CAL is 700C. I downloaded the definition from that thread and noticed something weird. On the titles to those tables it says deg C instead of degF. Is that referring to Celsius and fahrenheit?

All the sample tables I see online have the degF in the titles. Do I need to convert values?

Also some tables have the ignition timing set to -4 some to -8 and some +8. What's the difference?

So I flashed my ECU with the exact values in the guides picture (0 for ignition timing).

For some reason the CEL keeps popping up. I've cleared it 3 times now. Same code everytime. Is it supposed to be like that?

The accelerator also feels a bit stiff. That might go away after a couple of drive cycle though.

P050B? No, you need to disable it.

In romraider, open the tune, scroll down to dtc, and click p050b then click off.
I believe that's how you do it. @steve99

Correct.

USA cars need this code disabled if you alter the post start ignition timing

Sweet thanks guys. I actually found the thread on that.

So @steve99 what should I set my ignition timing to? There's so many different numbers online -8, -4, 0, +8.

Also is the stiff pedal just cause I flashed the ECU and will go away once the car is calibrated?

Take a print screen. I don't want to tell you random numbers if I don't know where you're putting them lol.

The numbers I was reffering to is for the first table (Ignition Timing Post Start).
Some post has it as 0 (like the OFT tips and trick thread), some at -4/-6 (@steve99 in some post) and @troek had it at +8 in this thread.

Also for the changes to the MAF Correction After Start tables, what do they actually do to the sound? Since it's so hot right now I don't I can hear the difference even if I flash them. Does it affect the droning noise at cold starts?

The post start ignition timing changes the sound I find -4 give nice sound and very little drone/bark during startup.

Maf offset is like choke in old cars adds fuel during warmup.

If you get cold temps like below zero C then maybe leave 15 to 20 in the top two lines of the table on left hand side. If you leave the stock values car will still idle high even though you set idle tables to lower values

So I made some changes. Does this look better?
The MAF offset should only affect start ups, making sure the engine doesn't die right?

Really wish OFT had the MAF correction after start tables on their site.

yes that look good.

these type of changes care very safe its only effecting the startup and first few minutes of run time, after that these tables, other than base idle are not used.

id change you Idle target tables to be max say 1200 as well
