Finally installed my Race upgrade. Cutting the grille is required on the FRS, but our grill is cheap and easy to replace, so if you're looking for this splitter/upgrade, don't fret. It can be done with less material removed than I did, but I wanted more clearance, just bc. I messed up on the right side (passenger), so the hole is super huge. Very nice, and extremely sturdy now.

Review, I've only had the opportunity to play around a little since installing it. I've had it to 115mph, and it was hardly an issue, but it wasn't before either. I took it into some low speed turns, and it's more noticeable now as well. Honestly, the car can get a little loose coming out of turns because it seems that the front bites that much harder now. Still very very happy with the @Wonderbar Driveway Labs V1 diffuser and the @FT-86 SpeedFactory @eric6 @plucas race upgraded splitter.

Need to get you some real tires on there to help with those corners.

Less area (mounted further rearward) will result in a decrease amount of downforce, but yes it will still work. We are finishing up a custom splitter for a member here, and while it has been a learning experience, after tomorrow I should be able to accurately quote lead times and cost for custom, one off splitters. To clarify, the custom splitter will be more expensive then the standard splitter.

Thanks,
Eric

its hard to tell how much you trimmed the grill. i got my race upgrade in the mail yesterday but its going to have to wait a little while before it gets installed.

also, throw some sticky tires on the car and you'll wonder why that wasnt your first mod lol

Oh I'm well aware that the Primacys are not exactly high grip/sticky tires. It will probably be spring before I go with something else, just gonna wear these out first. I'm debating wider wheels and tires, but I'll probably go with Michelin Pilot Super Sports once these are worn out.

Here are some better pics of the modifications I made to the grille. It can be done removing less material, but I wasn't worried about it. My blunder on the passenger side is quite evident. I had the bracket held up to the middle 2 holes when I was eyeballing what section to cut out.

Thanks, and does anyone know if the rexspeed kit is functional? Also, I saw a front bumper and a front lip available from apr. How does the modified bumper compare to the apr lip spoiler? Can both be used?
Thanks

For me, there is no glide in pulse and glide :p

@Kwaziekeller, would it be possible to get a straight-on side shot that shows both the splitter and the diffuser? Thanks.
