Try searching (pro tip on Google this sites search sucks) there are a few threads already. For high boost FI applications there seems to be some gains but not enough for me to justify. Plus I hate the red lol

I wish Subaru would be honest about the reasons behind the aluminum intake so less money will be wasted on this "upgrade".

Its red so people will buy it. Also its more fun saying the welds on your intake manifold will blow.... cant say that about a plastic one

Not to mention heat soak. Lol. I see advantages with f.I. but beyond that jdm bullshit. Lol

Are there any significant changes to the runner lengths or diameters? Or the plenum size?

What kind of gains did you see from tuning?

Apples and orange... I have a header and flex fuel. I'm sitting at about 200whp, with the OEM front pipe in place. Car pulls on S2ks.

If the size of the runners is different I can only assume there will also be a difference in the torque or power outcome. On the other hand however, whether that is worth it, it is debatable. Heat soak (there is a solution to that) is one of my concerns though.

The official number for that whole upgraded package is 5 HP. That is with a new exhaust, intake, internals, manifold and tune. So how much difference can the manifold alone make? Probably not even measurable on a dyno since it will be well under the margin of error of the equipment. In fact if you simply bolted this on your 13 and did not tune for the changes you could actually lose HP not gain it. If after the bling factor it could be worthwhile but as far as performance goes this would be the worst HP per dollar spent you could get.

The tune is also different. They could have gotten that much from tuning alone.
