Which is why I have no parts. Having the experience and working with high end stuff regularly, I know what I want, and it's not anywhere near my budget, and I won't "settle" for less than what I know I want.

Depends on your rank . Besides we get plenty of benefits (DoD as a whole) which make up for any perceived deficit to the civi's. You may just need to get a few more room mates and bank that BAH. I was jealous of my fellow ENS who could do that vs. me with the wife and kids.
