Were either of those supposed to be your order? Hopefully not. The guy I ordered with at the dealer put in an Order for a Camry and it took 6 or 8 weeks before they finally got an allocation that matched it for a Camry!

They mentioned it could end up not matching the order a little bit.. Well there are only 3 variables - color, trim, transmission. If any one of those 3 are wrong, I can't take it

I would think the Preference order in this case would remain open until an exact match was available. Which wouldn't be too reassuring considering how few of these a given dealership will likely receive. Will have to ask, I decided I'd only talk to them every 2.5 weeks haha.

However, since multiple dealerships can have the same preferences then it's up in the air how long the wait will be to get that vehicle.
Thanks for the info. So it's just the luck of the draw I guess, wait and see.

Yes, he said it may not match exactly. I said I don't care, as long as it's a manual then Premium then color is most important. I can't take the car before April (parking, winter, and other logistical reasons). I'm definitely antsy but he also said that time frame is great because something should be allocated and built by then.

Nice car, congratulations. Question: How are the headlights? Are they same as the Premium? Are they adaptive and bright? My 2019 STI headlights were shockingly amazing. One of the reasons I want the premium is for the headlights, make night time driving SO MUCH BETTER.

It was just barely dark when I pulled in. First impression is that they are just as good as 2020, which I loved.

Just put a deposit down at Doxon Toyota for a Premium Mt in Neptune blue or the red. He said 3 or so months… what they submit is just a preference. I wonder how long this is actually gonna take

I got some encouraging news from my dealer on Saturday the 15th.
“Great News, the GR86 is currently on a train headed towards Kansas City. As of today, the train is located in Laurel, Montana. I will keep you posted”

I guess there’s some kind of hub in Kansas City possibly? And then they’ll put it on a semi back north to Omaha? They also moved my eta back to the 11th of Feb. Does anyone have any insight to why it takes so long on the train?
