When tracking our cars with the supercharger, what fuel do you use?

The manual recommends half a tank of race gas, but the track I go to does not have pumps yet so I run 93.

Is it worth putting in octane booster for track days?

93 Octane is far better than 91 ACN fuel we have in the west coast. We have consistently seen more power gain from the east coast brethren than the west coast simply because of the fuel quality.

Mike, how do I go about changing the alignment if it is out?

Make sure the 6 ribs on the belt are sitting in the 6 grooves on the grooved pulleys. The car can run with 5, or even just 4 in the grooves, but you want to always have it perfectly aligned with 6.

if it is off, release your belt tensioner, and adjust by hand (make sure the engine is cool so you don't burn yourself).

all 6 ribs are sitting fine but it looks like the belt is being pushed in. Like the SC needs to be spaced out

Will try to get a pic and post it

No, just the JR High boost pulley.

But it seems I have found the problem. The bracket holding the SC is bent. I have no idea how that is even possible. I am in the process of having one machined from SS to replace the bent aluminium one. Once i have the old part back from the shop I will send it to JR and ask them about it.

I cant wait for a replacement as this is my DD and I need my car.

Pic for attention....

Please contact us at tech@jacksonracing.com and we can work with you on what's going on here. Billet aluminum doesn't just... Bend.

Looking for suggestions for a squeaky pulley or belt. I just swapped the c30 for a 38. While I had room I clean out a lot of dirt and junk from the engine using paper towels with degreaser applied to them. I also removed the pulley above the tension pulley and cleaned it with degreaser. It was pretty caked.

My belt is a little over a year on on approx 14k miles. Since priming the SC I have heard the noise. The noise can be heard on starts and peaks between 2000 - 4000 rpm. While driving if you quickly let off the gas it gets a lot quieter. If you hold the RPMs steady the noise remains.

Tonight I removed the tension pulley and a lot of dirt fell out of it. I was surprised how much. And I also removed the pulley below the alternator. I cleaned both with shop towels and nothing else. I also flipped the belt to the other side.

Started the car and it squeaked so I gave up for the night.

The idler pulley does bounce but I thought that was normal.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

I will definitely contact you guys directly. I will be picking up the car tonight from the workshop and will then be able to send you pics of the part.

I agree that the plate should not just bend so there must be something else going on. Thing is I have had the SC installed for 2 years now and absolutely no problems.

Degreaser is most likely causing the noise.

So did I kill that pulley bearing or can that be corrected?
