Coilover to Raise Ride Height - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I've seen plenty of coilovers for the frs/brz, but I was wondering if anyone know of any coilovers that can raise the brz maybe 1 inch to 2 inch higher? Reason being, I plan to make it my DD , and I would like a little bit more clearance when winter hits.

Hi, Cusco has a system that will raise 25mm in front and 15 in rear I think. I am also guessing this off the top of my head at almost midnight. But those numbers are close.

I'll have more in the morning when I am back at work.

You want more clearance... what do you have to clear? a 4x4 track? as it stand it already looks 4x4 stock. ROFL!

haha! Its about 1 inch lower than a wrx. 1 inch of extra clearance during snow fall in Alaska is very helpful.

sweet. i await your reply.. hmm is the rear of the frs/brz slightly taller than the front? Kinda weird how its 25mm in front and only 15 in rear

FWD + SNOW = Depression
AWD + SNOW = OK

If there is more snow you will just go slower, but still with a big smile if the conditions are not terrible.
But with too much snow and in a low car you will become a plow if its above your bumper. Going forward then becomes a problem and a 1 inch of clearance could do wonders.

Luckily that is not a problem here due to good regulary snow plowing during winters. But as a winter driver I would not lower "my" GT86. Atleast not by much..
RWD sports cars are bad snow plows.. But great driving fun in snow conditions. Cant wait to get some snow under the (winter) tires of the car!

+25mm in the front and +10mm to the rear

They also offer parts from their rally car.

As a low-budget, seasonal solution, you could replace the rear dampers with ones from a late model Outback Sport (lifted Impreza) and add 1-1.5" spacers between the front strut tophats and the chassis.

lol.. I was thinking the same. This should not fit my taste. But it looks kinda awesome combined with the "rally-theme" of the car.

when the time and money comes, i'll be purchasing a set of HotBits. Made here in Ontario. (Canada)

Plus you want to buy something that you can service locally.

How far away are you from BC?
