Since we're updating, I just received my car back after 15 days in the shop -- we'll see how it goes. To top it off though, the dealership was chock full of unsympathetic and unprofessional (to put it very lightly) management who apparently thought I was too much of a perfectionist and wouldn't address my other concerns....needless to say corporate got an earful when I got home.

after 15 days in the shop what the hell did they say was the problem and fix for your issues? What other complaints did you have?

Intriguing! First thing I do when I come home in my BRZ is to check this thread for the latest news.

This sounds promising. I've been guessing ECU most of this time so I'll be curious to see if that's it.

Hoping that it is a reflash and that I'll never have to see the CEL or the service department of a dealership.

Someone earlier, way earlier mentioned the AVCS is controlled by oil pressure an that their might be a filter in the oil passage way that can be easily clogged or blocked a little that causes the small change in oil pressure resulting in a CEL.

Anymore info on this?

Update from my dealer is that they would be getting parts ahead of schedule (maybe from Subaru?) within a week or so.

I had filed case with Scion, got call back from an alternate Rep as my regional rep is overwhelmed with cases. Seems that the Cincinnati (Midwest?) has a large number of CEL's to deal with right now.

I'm not sure what I want out of the deal, as I wanted a car with no problems. Anything less than that is just compromising.

Car still in the shop. I'm burning up miles on the loaner camry.

Just left the dealer talk to my friend who is the service manager corp advised them to put me in a loaner for 24 hours someone is going to go through and check and make sure it's electrical/electronic and not the camshaft. If it is the camshaft they are going to replace the entire engine

I was put in a Prius Plug-In big ballin
