What bunch of wusses! I have spent hundreds of hours under cars held up by nothing but bumper jacks (yes THOSE bumper jacks), rotten logs, clay bricks, broken cinder blocks and one very optimistic time four milk crates and I am still alive with all my limbs intact.

I was just under some jack stands and I felt pretty safe. I think it just comes down to the time it takes to get the car off the ground. That's the only reason I'd get some.

most young people in the present social media landscape care zero about what happens as long as the video has engagement and allows them to monetize the channel, their brand, or whatever else they are promoting, i.e. themselves.

whatever.

vertical still makes more sense, plus its meant to be a safety mechanism

plus, a lot of how good/bad this works for you depends entirely on your garage space.

The last time I did my clutch and TOB I had the whole car up on harbor freight jack stands that I found out later were recalled. They were about as high as they would go to get the bell housing to clear the car

I always shove a tire under each side of the car too though.

I don't bother watching the videos to begin with.

I am aware. He's always done this though even with Subi/FTspeed trying to grow his channel. To me it comes off as not genuine, just give me clicks. He used to spam multiple sections with the same video. I don't wish any ill toward him or his future endeavors but his vids are just forum spam to me.

We all did. Then we grew up, made some money, and bought something better, and safer.
