It's tough to say. I wasn't expecting my car until August and out of no where I find out its here already. Some guys were saying that Scion isn't producing any more manuals until next year, I can't see it but that's what they're being told. It all depends on the dealership and how many people are on a waiting list.

When did you order?

i haven't ordered one yet. i'm actually afraid to go down to the south-pointe dealer to test drive one for the fear of falling in love with it and ordering one. i want one so bad but i know i shouldn't get it because i want to finish paying off all my debt first (~3 yrs) & save up for a down-payment on a house (another 3 yrs). everytime i think of my $7k 1995 GT-Four vs. buying a $28k-$33k 2013 FR-S/BRZ, common sense is telling me to keep the car and prioritize, but i have a dire need of owning this car i can't stop thinking about it and it's tearing me up inside. i have been waiting for this car since its early conceptual stages and now that it's out, i just have to own one. i have always known toyota would come back with exciting cars like they did in the 90's and i would really like to replace my aging celica (celica will become my winter beater). at the same time, i fear that if i get this car, i will be blowing all my money on it without a doubt!

I'm in the same boat, been following it since 09. Last summer I moved out west and wanted something newer, so I broke down and bought an 07 wrx. With snowboarding and biking, the frs seems impractical compared to what I have now, but damn I want one anyways lol

I got a call from the dealership this evening. They said they had a Black 6M FR-S with upgraded audio that was abandoned and needed a new home. I get my new baby tomorrow =D.

I was in the exact same boat as you, and all tho I fully encourage you to do whats best for you. I eventually chose the, Life is short, live in the moment type deal and I bought one anyways. I dont regret it one bit, it really has improved my life in everyway

again, my thoughts were identical to what you posted, prioritize, why spend 30K on a new car when I can keep what I have and have all the extra money to pay and save.

cheers
