Profound statement. Well said.

Remember when I told you guys my new cardiologist office got all three of my heart med prescriptions wrong? thought I had it all fixed, but no, found another problem today.

I took the last of my San Jose supply of verapamil last night, and switched to my Caldwell supply this morning. My systolic pressure dropped to 75 with a pulse of 35 just as the paramedics arrived. The doctors office prescribed me 120mg instant release instead of 120mg extended release verapamil. What a Fuck up. The bottle I brought in when they took over my prescriptions was very clear it was extended release. Talk about not being able to read! The cardiologist office here screwed up 4 different ways on my prescriptions. All they had to do is copy them off my bottles I brought in from Kaiser.

I'll be making some interesting calls tomorrow. Probably one to an attorney.

They pumped me full of calcium and magnesium to get my BP and pulse out of the danger zone.

Other than that, I'm pretty healthy. Blood sugar good, kidney function good. Now if I can just get the correct meds, I should be good!
Shit. Glad you’re okay. Sometimes I don’t understand how people can’t do their job. How difficult could it be? And in this case there are serious implications and consequences for getting it wrong.

What a fuck up.

Dude that's terrible. Sorry to hear that, but glad you're okay now. The ones responsible for prescribing the meds are literally playing with people's lives. Seriously unacceptable on their part

Wages have been flat for many years. People definitely need work.

Wow our school/job system is screwed up.
If they ask for a PDF, give them a PDF. If they ask for it pasted in an email, do so. Whether it has a bullet point or a dash, or if it's double indented, doesn't matter to me.

No that's plenty. Silver lining:

I asked my cardiologist once what would happen if for some reason I accidentally took too many meds. He said I would feel dizzy and to get to the floor. For 17 years I have wondered. Now I know how it feels, and know when to sit down and call 911. So good Sunday.

Thanks guys.

I was scared. Good thing is the paramedics hang out about 2.5 miles from my house, and hospital is 3 miles. Response time was incredible. Once the parametric were here, I wasn't scared anymore. I was afraid I over reacted. I worked for health care for 27 years, last thing I want to be is a Goomer. But they told me no, at that point my BP was so low, if I had tried to get to the truck to have my wife take me, my carotid would have closed and I would have went down. So good call with the ambulance ride.

I think my wife was bored. I was there for like 6.5 hours. I told her she could go home and I'd text when they were releasing me. we knew what was going on.
But she wouldn't leave my side. I think she's a keeper.

I was watching football, lying in an adjustable bed, with cute girls bringing me pillows, blankets, and snacks. So I was good.

Oh yea, and FYI, they don't have beer in the ER.

OK, I figure mrs ho was just hanging around to make sure you didn't change your will and leave your fortune to that pretty nurse that was giving you a sponge bath. -

OBTW, how was the ambulance ride there in Idaho?
