BTW, a little nugget here. i have a MY16 MT BRZ with F00C ECU, JDL Catted UEL + UQFP + perrin silicone tube + Drop in and found that OTS stage 1 MAF is a good base MAF Scale.
still a bit rich and lean in some areas >3 V, minor tweaks, but 2.77 V and below, using Wayno's ol school smoothed Stage 2, which is a bit leaner than Stage 1 helps in the CL. attached MAF vs Voltage guide. something i could not log on ots2, but is available now on OTS 4.0 Last edited by neilvosko; 05-17-2018 at 02:52 PM. |

Just want to say thanks to @Wayno and @steve99 for posting so much helpful content. I've learned a TON about tuning from reading your threads and the thanks button just doesn't seem like enough. Will be buying Wayno's tune later today, can't wait to give it a go!

I have data logs but I'm confused on something. When you say you want your afr around 12.1-12.3 for OFT E85. Mine is around 14.49 @6400 rpm. But I read on this forum that when on E85 the AFR if it says 14.4:1 it really means AFR 9.4:1.
So which means that my AFR during that rpm was really 9.49? that seems really lean. should i be worried? im quite confused. anyone please give me some info? much appreciated. here are my datalogs. https://datazap.me/u/bboyairrick/9th...10-11-12-13-14 https://datazap.me/u/bboyairrick/10?log=0&data=1 EDIT: Im dumb ignore those first two data logs. Okay so i already figured out why my afr were off. I wasnt WOT. I da smarts. https://datazap.me/u/bboyairrick/13?...1266-1594-5473 Does this look alot better? anything that i need to worry about? So I am about to put a 2014 engine in my 2015 fr-s and have a pre existing tune flashed. would i run into any issues with the swap? Could i potentially brick my ECU or could my car reject the engine?

Hi all, not sure if this thread is still active but im trying to find "engine load limiter A and B " in rom raider that Wayno posted half way up this page. All I can find is engine load limit in the mass airflow folder. Starting to think its from an earlier version of romraider or im loosing it. Haha need to fix the dip he talks about at 3-4krpm
Cheers, Geoff. |

[QUOTE=Wayno;3400695]Thread not active because starting from scratch is a suckers game.[/QUOTE
As im new to this and clearly a late starter what would you suggest I do. Have read through this thread and slowly getting a grasp on things but it appears my definition does not have engine load limiter enabled so I cant change it, it only has max limit; V4.03 OTS. Do I need one of your roms along with your def file? Have played with MAF scaling a little to lean it a bit up top but cant get rid of that dip at 3-4krpm with affecting above and below that rpm hence is why im chasing load limiter. I believe you have sorted this and other issues in your roms so am I better to start with yours and just tweak the MAF? Empire performance UEL headers and cat back system Stg2 NO OTHER MODS ZA1JA01I Cheers, Geoff. |

I've been looking around for the answer to a question that doesn't seem to come up. If getting fuel trims laid out correctly is so important, which the car needs driving for some time to learn at four rev ranges in CL - how does any OFT tuner accomplish any work within an acceptable time? For example, if I was working on ignition for 98 RON I would have to:
1. Make change in tune. 2. Flash tune to car. 3. Wait for AVCS to turn on. 4. Wait for LTFTs. 5. Do pull, monitor IAM and knock parameters. 6. Rinse and repeat. Even if a person is on a dyno, he/she wouldn't have all day for step 3 and 4 - I know LTFTs can be turned off but you wouldn't be testing in the proper scenario eventually. Is there something that I'm missing here? Last edited by Compelica; 01-30-2021 at 11:29 AM. |
