Geezus, That was a good hit.

The head on crash left me with a slightly stiff neck for a day - the other driver seemed more shaken and was likely very sore the next day.
I'm still sore from kicking myself for not grabbing the hood struts, side mirrors, and 4th brake light.
Would have been nice to save the OFH but it was not in the cards. Oh well - time to begin again.

I actually thought about what new car to get for a while. I was at the Montreal car show a couple days before the crash so really did consider some other cars.
There are lots of hypothetical questions about what you might do if you had to start over and I now know for sure that I'd get another BRZ.
After some delay, an order has finally been placed for a 2017 BRZ in Dark Grey Metallic for a little change. Looking forward to the facelift and assorted new goodies on essentially the exact same car. Attachment 150558Attachment 150559
That sucks about the header and brake light. Wonder if there are any new tunes for OFT with the hew BRZ. I was at Tony Graham this past weekend. Actually thought about changing all my current mods to a new one and order a supercharger at the same time. Cant wait to see your new ride.

OFT has a beta for 2017 cars as apparently the ecu is a bit different. They have some time to work on it as the ETA for the new car is 4-5 weeks.
Is this the summer you get a supercharger? Can't wait to get out of hibernation and see all the cars again.

4 to 5 weeks is perfect timing. I have decided on no Supercharger for this car. I am waiting patiently for the release of the Supra to see, A if I like it. B How much is it. If too expensive I will buy a new GT86 and transfer all parts from my current ride to the new one and immediately install a supercharger. I should be firing up my FRS sometime in the next couple of weeks.

@OrangeGuitar, bummer about the accident, but congrats on the new wheels.

For those who have passed 100K, has anyone done the spark plug change themselves or did you go to the dealer?

I should be at 100 k by June. Dealer will do the spark plugs for me. Unless the tutorials online seem easy enough.

Hey everyone! FT86Motorsports/SubieDepot wants to organize a The Fate of the Furious pre-meet and cruise to a theater. We would all meet at FT86Motorsports/SubieDepot for a cruise down to VIP theater(Lansdowne Park)(68 spots in 1 theater).
Tickets are $24.99 each.
http://www.cineplex.com/Theatre/cine...sdowne-and-vip
FT86Motorsports/SubieDepot will have quite significant prizes for a draw before we leave for the theater. Yes, you heard it right, multiple prizes, everyone that participates is for sure getting something. This is for the appreciation to the supporting community and the enthusiasts in all of us.
We are thinking April 16th(Sunday) starts at 11:00AM FT86Motorsports/SubieDepot for a BBQ lunch, then cruise down for the movie that starts at 6:30PM.
Everyone is welcomed, and we will have a lot of fun.
Let us know.

I thought it sounded pretty complicated.
I'm sure André or Sylain could tell you for reals though

I am not affiliated with FT86motorsports or SubieDepot and have no commercial purpose in doing this. It is only to promote the event (so we have more people join us), I do not benefit in any way from this (aside from fun to be had at the event lol).

Did them in the shop here, but can be done at home. Need a proper spark plug socket (rubber insert) and 1 medium length extension.

Undo the motor mount nut and jack up on each side so the plug opening off the head clears the frame rail. I found 2 loose plugs when I did mine.

New aerodynamic kit for the FR-S:

*Note: Kit may not be exactly as illustrated. Appearance may vary depending on local meteorological conditions. Customer is solely responsible for on-going maintenance and storage in an appropriate sub-zero environment. No warranties expressed or implied.

Also, it must be getting close to spring if I'm posting on this forum again.

Very funny. I like the optimism. I was soooooo close to bringing my out of hibernation. Think the snowfall last night was closer to 40 cm than 20.
