The R version....which is pretty much an RS with sequential shifting transmission and racing slicks has no issues pulling over 2G at Spa Francorchamps...see the telemetry at bottom of screen towards the end:

Chassis and body same as RS. Each Donkervoort can be built however the customer wants - suspension and brakes, race traction system, and other options can all be specced per customer... so you could have had an RS setup as an R (besides the shifter.) That's part of the issue, not a mono-spec production vehicle you buy off a showroom, it's a vehicle you have comissioned and is then made for you individually by hand afterwards which you can tweak and make changes to options along the whole journey of the build process if you wish.

That g reading is kind of a random number generator...
Doesn't seem to bear any relation to what the car is doing.

The only place I saw 2G is braking into Eau Rouge at the 1:50 mark. That is your example? The 1.1 at La Source looks about right for a street car.

Lol I was thinking the same thing. How does braking and acceleration both show the same sign for longitudinal direction?

Edit
Oh. Oh... Lol they showed raw vertical acceleration relative to the car body.

It's nuts. Braking at 1:30, it shows 1.7g longitudinal, 0.0 lateral. I don't for a second believe it's braking at 1.7g.
Then at 1:37 it shows max cornering g's 1.1g as he begins to accelerate, still showing 1.0 *braking* gs! The *minimum* braking g's is about 0.5g, while it's clearly accelerating forward! WTF, it's like they're taking 1g vertical gravity and *adding* it to longitudinal gs...

If they're saying it'll pull 1 g, while being supported by the earth with 1g vertical gravity, and that makes it a 2g car, well obviously that's ridiculous...

Without downforce this is NOT a "2g" car...

Still super-bad and I want one...

Well it made sense to me at the time... but now that I go back I don't know exactly what I was thinking... LOL I agree the g-meter info is confused.

I still would want one of these over any exotic/super/hypercar...
