I'm not cancelling my BRZ, but I have to say, I've seen some really clean late 80s 911s for sale near by...

To the first post, congrat on BMW.

As for me, today I totally changed my thought... Seriously, it's an amazing car. $25k? Hell, not a problem! All the future stuff waiting for this car, it's hella cheap!

The badge bickering can get annoying but we've got some pretty cool people from both communities. Several of the big gurus from NASIOC(Subaru forum) come over here and share technical info that relates to the engine or suspension. And on the Toyota side, well, there's guff?

Honestly, I think a lot of us are looking for that. The two sub-forums are kind of an appeasement for the two different communities(Toyota/Subaru). The different subforums mean if you don't like the people who dominate a certain subforum you can switch to another. I prefer OT myself but I visit and cause trouble on the two major subforums too.

It's not a perfect place but FT86club big enough to be interesting. Even the big news outlets can't match our rumor mill. Plus this is still the best place to find good info on the Twins.

Getting' recognition!

Weird. Today was actually the first time I even thought about getting another car other than FR-S. I'm trying hard to keep myself from getting interested in other cars until I actually get to see and test drive the FR-S in person.

The funny thing about me is I only like one other car other than the BRZ Limited under 35k so its always back and forth between the two. The reason I have only 2 cars on my list is because I like a lot of things in one.

RWD
Low slung GT good looking shape
2+2
Sport package
Premium Pkg
Nav system pkg
Good steering to Excellent steering feel
Good to Excellent road feel
Not high maintenance and no expensive parts(Euro's I am looking at you bastards)
Mostly reliable
Engine with good performance
Under 35k

I seriously thought (well am thinking) about a new Miata, which I can get fully loaded for the same price as the BRZ Limited. Thankfully the practicality of the Miata has kept me back...but if the BRZ doesn't live up to my (absurdly high at this point) expectations, then I think I'lll go Miata.

I have 2 pre-orders at both scion and Subaru, if for some odd reason dealers try to screw me with MSRP or i have to wait till fall to get my car... i would have to choose a DD before then which i'm cross shoping the base model 2011-12 WRX (which i know i can get below MRSP) with these acc

-Body side moldings
-factory install HIDS
-Rear Deck spoiler
-STI lip
- Mud flaps (DIY)
- BOV (DIY)

and called it a day

no...

i dont say the 2004 bmw 330 ci is not good, but buying a 2004 instead of a 2012 car mean for me that you dont really care witch car your buying, just any good deal for you.

congrat on your purchase, hope you love it.

I caved in to get something on 2 wheels... but I still plan on getting a BRZ/FR-S as well.

I sympathize with the thought of the BMW, I would agree if I wasnt one of the first 86.

The FRS isn't amazing on the street, its pretty good, but if this is gonna be a commuter car, you'll have just as much fun in a BMW, plus the 15k you pocketed will put you over the FRS in fun factor LOL. Good for you man, hope you enjoy it!

In saving money though, remember to be prepared for potential costly repairs --as based on your price I assume your car is rather high mileage....

There isn't a single doubt in my mind of the car I want. Well, it will be the BRZ or the FR-S. haha

The only thing that concerns me is when my kiddo is in a front facing seat and if she doesn't fit. The FR-S/BRZ will be a 3rd vehicle, but if she doesn't fit at all, we'll probably just consolidate down to 2 cars and get something like a GS 350 F sport.

this forum should really just combine the two. I don't like it plus a lot of the brz members post good information that the Toyota people will be missing if they don't follow both sides.

Isn't the default option "All"? That's what I keep it on...
