These two were cruising around together. There was a 3rd fooling around by itself.

One of my son's friend's Dad worked on the Rapter (he may still I don't know). He took my Son, his Son, and a couple of other friends to fly the simulator. I still haven't forgiven him for not taking me with him. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

I also had a real treat two hrs ago while changing my lawnmower oil, Heard the sound of jets that usually do not fly out of that airport,
looked up between the trees and 6 very low flying Snowbirds (CT-114 Tudor) in formation passed by, I guess they hung around for The F1 event this weekend. I live less than 5 miles from a regional airport outside of Montreal YHU. This past weekend there was a small air show at the aeronautic college there, the Snowbirds were present and I managed to see them performs for 20 minutes Saturday.. I was on my bike and only had my phone, nothing good taken. I will be seeing them again at the end of June at the 100th anniversary of our air force up in Bagotville, That is a free show and promises to be even better than the last event there I attended. A lot of international planes will be there as well. Here are some From the 2019 show! |

Canadian made trainer...
They have been flying these for ages... first flown in 1960. The RCAF started to use them for our Centennial in 1967 for shows. The Snowbirds were formed in 1971 and re-acquired the Tudor planes. Nice & slow so you can see em and they are painted red not the hard to see camo dark blue like the Angels... They don't need any support aircraft either as they can carry all the spare parts they need . |

Our home is about 25 minute’s north-west of CFB Trenton. It is the busiest airbase in Canada with 8 Wing, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, the famous Skyhawks parachute demonstration team and possibly JTF2.
As such I’m used to seeing all manner of aircraft. They run helicopter Search and Rescue drills out my way and there are CC-130’s constantly doing low level training. Many countries send their pilots here for Herc training. I’ve even flown the 130 simulator on base and not many civilians can say that. Canada’s aging fleet of Hercs is being replaced with CC-177 Globemaster III’s. I’m seeing these new craft more often. As far as the Blue Angels go, yes very impressive but, the support they require is staggering. The advance team shows up three days early driving big black SUV’s. They do all the promo work like TV and radio spots. They also make sure all preparations for the Angels are up to snuff. Two Hercules support transports arrive a day later with the ground crews starters and everything else to keep ‘em flying. Then the day before the show the Angels fly in. As I said it’s an impressive display but the Snow Birds do so much more with far, FAR less! The last Tudor was built in 1966 and most of the Snow Birds were built long before that. They keep flying ‘em because like an old watch, they take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’!

Got this from my Grandnephew yesterday.
Apparently, he has become the flag bearer in the "Hawk" household for the 86. Not only that, but he paid cash for it! Now there's a kid with his head on straight. He's not the only one. My wife's niece (so my niece-in-law I suppose) has owned two!

Well, gang, ol humfrz is going under the robot with a knife tomorrow at the hospital to get rid of my worn out/clogged up gallbladder.
Yep, they call the procedure a "ROBOT ASSISTED LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY-XI". With a name like THAT, what could go wrong????????? I'll check back with ya'll in a couple of days. |

Thanks, good buddy -
Yep, @Wally86 , I farted/pooped on demand for them, so they released me the same day as the operation. Actually, after the operation, I yelled and moaned so much because of the pain, I figured they just wanted to get rid of me - This hospital doesn't want to spare any "good" pain killers (codeine, morphine) and considers Tylenol a major pain killer - OK, the robot ravished around inside my belly and found and chopped out that pesky gallbladder. They gave me some Oxy to take home with me so I wouldn't be calling them about any pain. Thanks for you folks well wishes. I'M ON THE MEND! |

In case it wasn't covered in your postop instructions:
After gallbladder surgery, you can resume sexual activity when it feels comfortable for you, but you should be careful not to put pressure on your healing wounds. Doctors typically recommend waiting one to two weeks before having sex, but it depends on your situation. If you feel discomfort, you might need more time to rest. You should also avoid excessive bending or twisting for one to two weeks after surgery to allow your incisions to heal. |
