We have some pretty experienced local guides on our rivers. One of them is a good friend of my dad's, we usually do this section a couple times a year with him.

So last year I found a fantastic brand and model of work boots (Keen Davenport 8") that fit me super well and are pretty lightweight. This year I decided to try something new (a Timberland model of some sort) and the first few days with them were subpar, but figured that was part of the break in process. Fast forward a month and my feet are still in agony wearing the new boots.

It's bad to the point that I paid out of my own pocket for another pair of the Keen boots. $220 is a kind of expensive lesson about "if the shoe fits", but happy feet lead to a happy work life I guess.

We used to make wings for the formula cars by affixing guides to opposite ends of styrofoam blocks and then pulling a hot wire over the guides. I have the rear wing off Gunnar Nilsson's Lotus 78, (no end plates) and it's alloy covered Styrofoam.
How things have advanced since my fathers day. His Heath Parasol was metal and wood covered in cloth.

Just tested my new taillights to make sure all the lights are working... sadly it wasn’t. I need to replace one of the side marker bulb. It’s only $5~$10, so not complaining here... but a bit annoyed

It wouldn't be too hard to mock up with cardboard, make a styrofoam mold, then coat with bondo and sand to shape. You could probably build a couple parts off each mold, maybe more if you are gentle. Plenty for a home DIY project.

Tinkercad is cool. I've used it for designing the coop. Couldn't started building yet. The ground requires some tiring and boring leveling work.

Yeah, I enjoy playing around with it. Surprisingly it runs well on my Chromebook too.

That is pretty cool. I haven't thought of using to do that type of mock up yet.
