I've been on the fence with the Fumoto valve simply because I look at it and think "is that not going to shear off on a lowered car?" I've heard at least a few accounts of that happening.

I'll think about getting one, though.


Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I'm not married.

Use a funnel and go slow. It's an acquired skill to pour oil out if the pan. I still mess it up sometimes. Thankfully, i didn't spill it yesterday, as we are out of paper towels.

+1 on the fumoto. Get the short drain valve, it is completely above the metal plate below the engine. If you shear it off you probably have bigger problems. I also got the little plastic clip to secure the valve because it's cheap insurance. I literally laughed maniacally the first time I went to drain my oil with it installed. It really makes it that easy.

I have always wanted to ask a US guy this question

There is a conversation int the movie Pulp Fiction, about french fries with mayonnaise. They find it disgusting. Man, I love it. Ketchup is fine but mayonnaise with french fries.. I can eat it as a meal for every meal for my whole life. I don't want to live in a world that french fries won't be eaten with mayonnaise.. Anyway.. Do you guys really find it disgusting?

Some do, some don't. Personally I prefer it, mixed with something. My favorite fast food combo is Wendy's chili sauce and mayo.



When I'm home, I use my favorite BBQ sauce "Carolina Treet" which is only sold in NC unless you get it mail order. They now sell it through Amazon. It is great on pork chops, chicken (particularly wings) etc. I mix about 2/3 mayo 1/3 Carolina Treet as a dip for chips/fries/etc.



I don't do straight mayonnaise though, and usually don't mix it with ketchup.

Oh I love barbecue sauce.. I hope Carolina Treet become a big trend and comes to my town :P The color looks different though, our barbecue sauces are darker..

Yeahhhh... Nooooooo.... Mayo and fries sound gross to me, but I have heard of people who like it.

That's unique to this particular style. It doesn't have any tomato or sugar in it so it's a orangish color. Because it doesn't have sugar it also doesn't burn on to the meat.

It's been around since the mid 50's and the company has never sold commercially outside of North Carolina that I know of, except mail order. They'll ship to US/Canada but that's about it.

Sounds like a vinegar mop for low and slow bbq, not grilling.
