This morning I installed a Unichip and found a great tune.

Yes, I know flashing yields more power blah blah blah. The fact is I'm not looking for a ton of extra power, but I do want some. At some point next year I'll get used to the Unichip and find the car is slow again (nature of the beast) then I'll upgrade to a OFT or something and love it too. If I went with OFT right away, I'd get used to the power just the same but the only place to go up from there is header then FI. Next step will be Unichip + header.

I like baby steps.

Replaced license lights,dome light, trunk light bulbs to LEDs.
Also replaced Scion emblems with Toyota ones and removed FR-S

now that its tuned, power is more linear and power delivery is smooth.. i also daily the car and satisfied that the power is there when i need it, shift sooner when i dont

Put some miles on them to break in a bit. I hear they need that bit of heat cycling to get full stickiness

Thanks. I ran the Rival S tires on my 350Z before, but I think these are the new compound. I have only done two gentle heat cycles with street driving. I hope to at least get all the mold-release off at Saturday's test n tune.

After all the work it took to get my STU 350Z dialed in, I know just having all the parts is not enough. Luckily Street class limits the number of things I can mess with, so I'm hoping the process is a little quicker this time.

Took the last of my parts over to the shop to finish install...Now all I need to do, alignment, fluids, and take it to a tire shop to put PSS's on it. Probably won't be until Monday, but the show owner said I could run his takeoffs this weekend if everything's done except the tires/wheels. I seriously am forgetting what she's like. Have her a month, shop for two weeks...Ugh. She'll be better now though though. Better (originally better, plus not worn out) tires, RCE springs, All new fluids since she's so new to me, not taking any chances...

Decided to start a youtube channel. I like shooting vids so at the very least i'll have a place to store video if i dont make any money lol. (shameless plug)
