Time for the curve ball...

I dumped the 2 piece driveshaft a loooong time ago for the 1 piece carbon fiber unit.

Or are we talking about 2 completely different things.

Yeah, those are different. All it takes is some asymmetrical loading of the midshaft and 'poof.' Wheel-hop, for instance, is a killer.

Dunno. Mine hasn't gotten any worse since February. I have a spare tranny ready to swap so I can take my time with the repair/rebuild. I'll be sure to share my adventure.

You can pick up a low-mileage transmission for under a grand if you're patient. @Decay107 found me mine. Huge ups.
