Hi, I have the RCE Tarmac 2s (KW clubsports) and would like to stiffen the rear slightly. Currently has the 70-170 blue springs they came with. 400# or 7kg I think. What springs can I get and where?

We do Swifts generally...60mm ID. Give us a call if you'd like to order or send us an email.

8 kg/mm is a common way to go in the rear if you're keeping the fronts at 7. Any stiffer than that in the rear and I'd recommend increasing front rates as well.

Looking at the Swift size chart for 60mm I see either 6 inch or 7 inch length. The 70-170 originals are 6.7 inch. So do you recommend the longer ones? I have the car lower in rear only about an inch.

That’s overpriced as fuck, op already has the tenders and intermediate collar.

A pair of eibach or hyperco springs with shipping should be <$150.

Meh - for me, I'd rather pay the difference to have the ST/KW springs and have them match (colour-wise) the original front springs, but I'm picky like that...LOL.

So I found a set of Swift springs that are 60mm diameter, 8kg, and 178mm length (7inch). Looking at their part number sheet this is the only length they have in that diameter and rate. The originals on the shock is 170mm (6.67 inch). Installing these by simply replacing the spring and inculding the helper and spacer rings collapses the helper all the way. Its not crushed by theres no room left. Is this okay or do I HAVE to find 7 inch springs?

That's totally fine like that. If you were to lower the car more the helpers would be uh, helpful to keep the main springs captive. But at your current height they're just taking up space, which is fine though you could remove them.

How is this going to affect ride height with a stiffer and slightly longer spring? (although the helper is compressed more now so taking less space)
I assume I will need to readjust lower?
