Whats up everyone been gone for about 2 years. Spent that time away from cars. Mainly focusing on Crypto mining rigs. But now im making a comeback!

My first mod back is Aliexpress steering wheel mod

I ordered these for about $40
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003611999757.html
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002073638401.html

Used this guys video on how to do it.

I removed the horn/airbag and the steering wheel buttons. At the end used 3m double sided tape in the area near the steering wheel controls to pull, then tuck underneath

Before

During

After!

Installed these reps earlier. Still not sure how I feel about them since I like more subtle mods.

I've been eyeing the same TRD finn rep but in a black finish.

Those look nice.

I think if they were black they would be more subtle.

But I did have the same feelings as you when I installed mine.

It's more of the fact that they're canards that isn't subtle to me. Lol. But they do get rid of the fake vent of the OEM garnish. Haha

Mounted OEM wheel setup, changed diff fluid, swapped back on my gruppe-s header, and gave the car it's First hand wash of the year

Also ordered some double wall style exhaust tips off AliExpress for the stock catback.

^ Car looks great.

Did a clutch bleed/flush yesterday and a full brake bleed/flush today. Used a one man kit that has a check valve in the bottle to keep it from sucking in air, worked great. Pedal feels a bit more solid now and that old fluid was looking murky.

I was supposed to bleed my brakes this week, but I didn't know O'Reilly doesn't carry Valvoline. So I just ended up ordering some Valvoline DOT4 (not sure why they didn't have DOT3/4 online) from Autozone and will do them some time after I get them in the mail. No clue why, but my brake fluid got dark in a relatively short amount of time. Well, last time I flushed them was Jan 1, 2019. But to me, that seems like a short amount of time. Fluid is looking like it did back then:

I've had mechanics use those compressor powered bleeders but they never take the time to do an actual flush, so this was the first "real" flush. I just used the cheapo Prestone DOT4 stuff, and used DOT3 for the clutch

I thought about getting the Prestone since that and the O'Reilly brand is what they carried, but thought, "eh, I'll just order some Valvoline." lol
