Yah I'm getting it from Atlanta. The e85 station I went didn't have much left I used the last drop of the gas that they had. I don't know how long it sat.

You might want to throw in several WOT pulls with some part throttle and tip in throttle as well to get a clearer picture of what's going on.

Also @KoolBRZ might be able to help you since he runs a ESC as well. I would also try to contact the OFT guys about your problem.

Not sure if I'm using the same type of logging as you guys, but if anyone is bored I could use some seasoned eyes on this thread.

this is NA compensation on an ESC platform

I think I've found the problem, @shaynek. This is still NA compensation, but I think it should be rescaled to 5 PSI positive pressure for the ESC.

I'm about to go and test the new procede maps. do i have to change the values to the above or are these the values that need to be adjusted

I just rescaled to 5 psi positive in the MAP Timing Compensation table. I'm going to give it a whirl on my next trip. If I don't get any knock, I'll know I pulled too much timing.

Data Logs! Post them here.

Is it okay to stay on e85 tune? Someone said it looks like e45. I still have 3/4 full of a tank.

the last log where you went higer rpm looks fine, IAM is 1 no knock fuel trims ok, AFR good.

the earlier logs look like its still got petrol in system and you flashed E85 tune

I think you flashed tune to E85 before running the petrol out of system see post here for correct proceedure

I did another log today. I'm still on stage 2 El e85, and will go back to 91 when I have a empty tank. Ive noticed a pattern. I will only get knock and adv less than 1 only on the highway around 2,300 to 2,500 rpm. I'm getting -0.69 and sometimes -1.14. Knock corr. Is that safe? On local roads at that rpm I will NOT GET any knock or adv less than 1. Do you think it is my e85 or I need to adjust to tune? I will do another log when I switch back to 91.

its not ideal but it wont blow up or anything, the ecu is managing the knock by dropping the iam to reduce timing, it happens all the time on the stock factory tune on petrol.

it an easy fix just note the rpm and load where the knock occurrs it will almost certianly be flkc knock then pull that ammount of timing out of the base timing B table cells in the tune.

i would not alter the tune unless your seeing that knock on the second or third tank of e85 as its most likely due to the resiual petrol in tank diluting the e85,, which i like
y the winter blend and already low ethanol percent

Here's a log I took during a canyon road run this past sunday. Please critique.

I'm getting knock correction mostly under 3600 rpm (3rd gear), but once I slap it in 2nd revving past 4k I get little to no knock correction. I've already dialed back quite a bit of timing at the lower rpm mid-high load ranges, but it seems no matter how much timing I pull there will always will be knock correction happening at the low rpm range. I attribute this partly to fuel quality but mostly this engine's "characteristic" If anybody has had good results massaging the tune to lessen or remove this knock please let me know!

solidONE: hmm, maybe some DI/PI injection adjustments may help on low rpm knock?

already done. Also increased the amount of tip in ignition advance being pulled, along with extra tip in enrichment. I've pull about 2* in those spots on the base timing table and still getting roughly the same amount of knock corrections... It's this winter blend gas, I tell you. (or that's what I'm assuming)

Edit: it actually isnt too bad in this log but flkc can go up to as much as 2~3* in the same areas.

Like so, but worse and at lower rpm's as in the other log lol (same day on a different route. short log due to road closure) : http://datazap.me/u/solidone/z6-cany...og=2&data=1-12

Edit 2: it looks like I'm still running around 40~20% port injection in the " trouble areas" I suppose I still have a lot of room to decrease the port/di ratio. Perhaps even go full DI or close to full DI.
