Smart entry not working
Hey guys,
I recently put sound deadener in my doors for a custom stereo install, but I have since noticed my smart entry has stopped working on the passengers side. I can lock the door on the outside, but it wont unlock when I try to open the door. Drivers side works fine. Does anyone know what controls this inside the door? If someone could point it out I can maybe trace the wires to make sure they haven't been damaged. Cheers. |

Pull the battery connection for a few minutes to allow the BCM to reset itself.
Otherwise - did you accidentally block some mechanical function in the door with your sound deadening? |

I'm having the same problem only on the driver's side. Opened up the door for sound deadening install as part of a speaker upgrade last week, but I'm not sure it's related since it was working for a few days after. Passenger side keyless works, and driver's side keyless lock works, but the unlock doesn't respond.
Anyone ever find a solution aside from resetting the BCM by disconnecting the battery? Not seeing anything in search. -Boog |
