Thumbs up Canadian-based Forum For FR-S/BRZ Owners!

Hey Canucks! We've set up a new forum for all of us Canadians...

As much as I still love this forum; the problem with it is that we don't have sub categories for each province as "Canada" is too general.

There's alot of room for us over there as it's Canadian based.

Please don't completely leave here, but keep both forums... 1 for international and 1 for Canada.

http://www.ft86clubvancouver.com/forums.php

(P.S. I know the name says "Vancouver" but there's too much room and too little of us. Come and say hi!)

Cheers! :happy0180:

We'll soon see how liberal the admin is here - many if not most forums will infraction/delete/ban when links to competing forums are made...

OP: if you truly want yours to be a pan-Canadian forum, I'd suggest a rename.

Thinking about it already. It's obvious Canada is not big enough to have its own divided regions like other states in America...

P.S. This isn't competition at all. This forum is gobal; The other one is more focused in the country of Canada.
In any case, if FT86Club does ask me to remove it, I will.

Just FYI, saying these two forums don't compete because of geographic focus is like saying a Canadian widget-manufacturer who only sells in Canada isn't a competitor to a global widget manufacturer who whips widgets worldwide, including Canada.

Yes, they are competitors in both cases, but that's the last I'll say to that.

I agree with the name change suggestion; I could perhaps be interested if it truly was presented as a cross-Canada FR-S forum.

I don't see the need for this, there isn't a massive amount of clutter in the Canadian section on here. I don't think there's enough traffic to justify a section per province at all, but that's just my opinion.

The Canadian-only forum will have a very limited value.
The reason that i ditched the **************.com and to join this is because of the shear number of frs and brz owners that can contribute to the content, so i don't see the value of creating a small niche forum.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I guess we'll just keep it Vancouver based then.

I do not feel that a separate forum works unless you do not like it here, but this forum addresses all countries and most important everyone respects everyone else, so I am happy here where I am, and I do come from Canada!

I used to be very active in a pinball machine collectors forum based in Montreal. It was called MAACA, with the M standing for Montreal. Since pinball is somewhat eclectic and there was a lot of cross Canada trading it held up OK.

However, automotive is more mainstream and there is already a huge forum here.

I see this pretty much staying with the BC area for the most part with the name being what it is. That is fine, I am sure they will have plenty of local members but if you want more you need to be for all Canada in the title like everyone else said.

Well I for one can appreciate the usefullness of a regional forum. In order to participate in any meets or events i pretty much have to jump on board with the GTA Crowd and that just isn't reflective of where I live and play.
