I've had the tires break loose when i'm starting out in 1st gear and floored it. I was surprised as this was in a straight line. Taking a turn really doesn't count, as you can break loose in a turn with pretty much any tire if you get on the gas mid turn too much and you're going fast enough. However, taking the same turns I do every day, it takes much less gas pedal input (at the same entry speed) to break the tires loose mid turn now, and at lower revs. Have you found it to be the same, driving your car?

How are you guy's axles holding up? I'm on 225 RE11A's and done a couple of "launch control" starts and just started to notice the infamous axle clicking on the rear driver's side. Note that these are my second set of stock axles, noticed the clicking on both sides and got them replaced under warranty. Probably only a couple thousand miles on these new ones before the SC was installed.

Anybody on drive shaft shop axles here? Might be worth the upgrade now.

Much better now lol. My stock ones lasted me about 76k miles. I installed this one last week. Took it to the autocross this past weekend and it's doing ok so far. My plan is to go upgraded as funds allow.

Just to be sure, these are just new stock ones, correct?

Correct, I only replaced my driverside axle with an OEM.

I would like to upgrade to DSS 600hp axles, but I can't afford to do them right now.

Edit: FWIW, I'm on 265 PSSs, and switching to 255 RS-3s.

I wonder if they're stickier than the toyo proxes sport T1s i have. i've also had these same tires for 3 years now and they may not be as soft as they were when new.
my plan was to switch to the RS-3s when these wear out, and also go down from 265 to 255 in the rear as i believe the RS-3 has a more squarish sidewall profile and would rub if i stayed with 265.

i haven't noticed any axle clicking - i've only done a couple of launches; but i typically try to roll onto the throttle vs. mash it suddenly (i drive my car like i used to ride my motorcycle). i also only have 7900 total miles on the vehicle.

Remember my car is an automatic, if I punch it from idle it dies, if I'm rolling and punch it it coughs then goes but not well enough to break the tires loose. Yes my supercharger installation is screwed up. Car is pure shit, dies at stops. Been trying to sort it our but so far no luck.

It's been 6 weeks now. I'm out in the middle of no where at least as far as good tech's are concerned. Delicious Tuning keeps saying I have a vacuum leak. We smoked the car again today for 4 hours. 2nd time we've done this, but can't fine a single leak anywhere. We've changed every vacuum hose and added new clamps. but still runs like crap below 1500 rpm.

I thought the issues were resolved with clamping down the evap solenoid? Is there a different problem or same symptoms?

If you abuse the axles with launches or hard shifts, it is only a matter of time before they go out again.

Upgrade, and never have to worry again. Unless you decide you want 800hp.

The RS3 is substantially stickier than the T1S; they're in completely different leagues of grip.
