I was at the gas station and a guy asked me if I was satisfied with my BRZ. I said, yeah. He then asked if I'd consider one of the newer BRZs, indicating he was a salesman. I said I'm not interested in upgrading yet, but wouldn't mind taking a spin. He said it's more fun with the extra 100 hp. I lul'd

I have a pile of GOOD struts, exhaust, etc... and the entire PP Brembo setup.
I also have brand new rotors for a Neon still (and brake lines/caliper rebuild kit) plus a whole Neon engine (partially torn down) and extra intake/exhaust manifold for a project that never got very far due to life...
this is hoarders anonymous isn't it?

It's hard to get folks to understand, but there are times when all we can do is make the best of a bad situation. I am pretty sure the supply chain issues will eventually be ironed out. Until then, if you're in a position to make the situation better, for you or others, do what you can. If there's nothing you can do, well there's nothing you can do. So do it. Chill, pour a glass of blackberry wine and relax.

One my Dad's favorite sayings was, "come on, do SOMETHING even if it's wrong."
I hated it then, I hate it now. It is a poster sized meme for how NOT to react to a crisis.

Hey! I say that all the time.

Mostly related to work things and not global pandemics.

Meeting with AD went worse than I wanted. Their proposal wasn't bad... but HOW they bring about it worse as it can get. Not fun ultimatum waiting for me at next week Thursday...

I try to stick to the old "do it right do it once" adage but sometimes have to go through two or three rights to get the correct once.

The only time I ever heard the old "do something even if it's wrong" and actually thought that makes sense was at the Navy damage control school. If you are in a ship taking water then any action is more likely to help more than hinder and doing nothing should never be an option.
