Sad, was told by ALOT of people that they were shady, but holy flipping Christmas, $10K they tried to steal from me. Guess it's going to be a custom order now from the better dealership that is out of stock and 4months of impatiently being patient lol.

They sound like scummy losers. Good call to walk away...another car with your desired specs will likely surface before 4 months.

it's not even the worst thing to wait a year until the hype dries up, and the supply re-establishes. new-ish platform, new motor design...

everyone was keen to get a 2013. right up until the valve spring recall came up a couple years later. couldn't have made me happier that i gave it a year to comfortably get the car i wanted instead of jumping the gun...

There were also issues with the di seals and coil packs that 2013 model year.

Keep in mind if you are truly that desperate for a car at a "reasonable" price, you can always try to buy one from the US and import it into Canada.

But given the scenario you laid out you're much better off waiting 6-12 months so you're not compromising on anything.

With the exchange rate this doesn’t really make sense unfortunately. Not sure if there are export rules on new vehicles from the US too, there are for sending vehicles South.

Im working with another dealership and Im positive we will come to a deal soon on either a Sport-Tech or ordering a base model. They were very upfront about everything and might even be giving me a huge boost on my trade-in. Im glad it worked out this way, all for the best I think 👍

all depends on the individual buyer. for some it makes sense, and it is not a question of price.

but anything that crosses a border will be subject to duties.
