Hi all there,

i'm trying to refine a base tune for my Greddy-turboed GT86 (year 2016), actually i'm still dealing with the MAF sensor scaling, maybe something else will require some adjustments too.

Here's the log of a 3rd gear pull from 2500 to 6000 rpm:

https://datazap.me/u/pippoemme/log-1...ta=1-5-8-12-14

Maybe the MAF scaling still overestimates the airflow beyond 3.85 volts (the AFR saturates at a rich end of 11.02 despite the MAF voltage still increases), but I especially fear the Advancement Multiplier stuck around 0.7 all over the log: why significant knocking should be present, if the load is very low / the AFR is very rich ?

And do the other knock-related parameters (KC, KCL and FLKC) support the diagnosis of knocking ?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion, cheers,

Giuseppe

it knocks because the maf scaling is atrocious, then it depends also on PI%, injection angle, and what kind of cam timing you ve written
More than refining, here you are at a very beginning, if you need help i m in italy like you you can write me

Still working with Steve on the new tune. But I wanted to share what I think is a different feeling on the car after getting the WRG-21 Fuel Pump Impeller Failure Safety Recall for 2018-2019 BRZs.

Normal Driving Before Fuel Pump: https://datazap.me/u/spcmafia/log-16...og=0&data=1-13

Normal Driving After Fuel Pump: https://datazap.me/u/spcmafia/log-16...og=1&data=1-13

Doing a WOT today for After Fuel Pump. Pending post.

Info for context, the car is on a second revision of the OFT Tune. Mods are:
1. JDL UEL Catted Headers
2. Invidia OP
3. HKS Double Res F.P
4. HKS Hi Power Spec L
5. Perrin Inlet Tube
6. K&N Drop-In Air Filter
7. 93 OCT Fuel

Question WOT log after 2700km on OTS - default too lean?

Hi, I uploaded wayne v167 default, about 1700mi/2700km of 91 octane ago, onto my stock 2019 BRZ, and the logs are interesting.

I read behind quite a few pages in this post, but before I upload a new tune, I thought I would check -

Given the high positive LTFT both under and over 5000rpm and the actual AFR running too lean versus commanded, is a reasonable next-step for me to bump up to a +Rich scaling and run it for another couple thousand km? (is +2% Rich plus enough for the next flash?)

AFR is all over the place.
Somebody else will Chime in but you start maybe a touch lean at 12.6 and end at 10.9 which is way to fat.

yes your tune could improve a lot if taken care of maf and timings
You have more dip than a stock tune almost

Hi, recently car has been running weird. There is hesitation/breakups during highway driving in partial throttle/wot. Looking at my datalogs, it seems that fuel trims are really negative. No signs of oil blowby in throttle body or near MAF sensor. I also reclamped and retightened everything. Can't tell if it is a tune related issue or mechanical.

extremely rich... check for intake/boost leak, check the radium is well closed every where, check the bypass valve of the sc
Ask opinion to your tuner also

Thanks for taking a look. I will email my tuner for his opinion. It is nice to have another person besides tuner to look at my data logs.

Hi guys new tuner here, I'm trying to optimize OFT v4.03 tunes for 91 octane Canadian gas. Below are a few 3rd gear pulls. I see that my FLKC is positive but my IAM is 0.7 the whole time. I believe my cruising knock is causing the IAM to stay 0.7. To optimize this tune would reducing timing in the cruising range improve performance in this tune by hopefully raising the IAM towards 1?

3rd gear pulls:

Cruising knock:

Pretty sure your initial IAM value on those tunes is 0.7, you can change it to 1 if you want to start on that when you flash a tune.

Hi everyone. Just trying to wrap my head around my fuel trims, and how my car was tuned, so that I can keep tabs on it.
Does anyone see anything weird going on here?
As a note, my MAF is reporting half of what it should be, so I was wondering if the tuner decided to omit tuning with the MAF, and if that's why I'm getting weird fuel trim numbers, but my car is running great.

try again to take a log but with these logging values:

ignition advance

rpm
ENGINE load
MAF volt.
COMMAND afr
afr
stft
LTFT
FUEL SYSTEM status
ADV MULTIPLIER
intake air temp
flkc
knock correction

Thanks! I have it all here. I took 3 datalogs in various driving conditions.

https://datazap.me/u/drivingwithme/l...3-4-7-11-12-13

I have another group of them just for comparison:
https://datazap.me/u/drivingwithme/l...4-5-6-11-12-14

It's all on 93 octane.
Some things that might be relevant:
- When FTKC moves a bit, I am probably hitting the shift light, as I revved it all the way until I saw that light to get good data for the pulls.
I'm not sure if I went completely WOT, as I was just trying to hit the light in some reasonable way.

- This isn't the first time I've seen some amount of kc, or in my other logs, timing being pulled randomly, and pretty drastically, when city driving.

Though that is kind of scary to look at, I'm glad that these engines do that.

- It seems to be overboosting by 1-2 psi occasionally. That's only when I take it to the shift light to get a good log. I pretty much never do that for any reason otherwise, as I'm mostly taking this thing through twisties and not dragging it.
I'm pretty sure the wastegate is set at 10psi, so I'm not sure about how that's happening.

- Maf voltage seems to change with actual air coming in, but I'm still curious as to why my fuel trims are so wonky.
I'm guessing that it has to do with MAF scaling?
