Curious how you liked the setup with the CSG Touring and why you swapped for the STI axle back. I do love the STI unit but very pricey!

I have the CSG Touring and I'm about swap my EL for a JDL UEL, sounded good in your video.

I was tired of the CSG exhaust falling apart and CSG blaming me for owning a second gen which supposedly has way higher EGTs than the first gen which somehow makes the welds on the baffles fail in a month

First it was "yeah your untuned car with a header is at fault" (even though I'm a tuner and checked AFRs and timing...) and they're repeating similar nonsense for a friend that has a second gen even though he's tuned.

The CSG exhaust sounds great, I wish the tips weren't so... obnboxious? and I wish the build quality was even remotely decent.

Interesting, thank you for sharing! Hate to hear that, typically CSG is known for great customer service, and they advertise this exhaust as gen 2 compatible.

I don't mind the large tips, just wish they were double walled. I swapped mine for black ones (Still single wall, maybe I should've looked for something nicer)

May I ask how you knew the welds were failing? Something you could hear?

Yeah I swapped the tips as well, the CSG tips were melting my bumper...

The exhaust rattled badly, sounded super tinny too.

Interesting, mine has a mild vibration/metallic sound at certain RPM's, thought it was just a characteristic of the exhaust. Swapped the hangers for the JDM Subaru ones but no real improvement. Maybe I have the same issue. I love the tone and sound level but not a fan of the metallic resonance.

Mine always had a bit of a metallic "zing" to it, I didn't mind that. The STI muffler is similar.

Gotha, excited to see how it sounds with the JDL UEL. Should be nice and deep

Solely for tire clearance. Even at the effective ET35 the tires rub on the inner frame rail in front of the struts at full lock. When they're new, the tires squeak on the fender liner there, haha

So 17x9 ET35 255 tire rubs without a spacer then. I wonder if a 245 would have better clearance.

I might just have to budget spacers and studs when I get my wheel setup

I've got 245s and it still rubs, haha. My first gen with 245 RE-71R rubbed as well with ET35.

Jon said going with 3mm spacers up front helped him a lot, no more rubbing.
