About an inch lower than stock. Whatever that is....

thanks

I did search but couldn't find many people talking about it, or complaining of inner CV joint failure due to grease heating next to the exhaust.

Is there a factory OEM vehicle that runs the pad shape of the AP Sprint Kit? If so which ones? Looking around and not seeing much info other than posts saying that it's a readily available pad shape...

There is not.

If you want a commonly used shape, check out the CSG spec Brembo BBKs. They share pad shapes with the factory PP Brembos, but are entirely different in caliper.

Note that the CSG spec Brembo BBKs were released before the 2017+ PP was even announced.

Thanks, I found a cheap enough deal on a used AP Sprint kit and jumped on it already so that's what I have but was just trying to figure out how to cross-reference the pad shape. Took me longer than I'd like to spend digging but realized the pad cross-references with a Willwood pad that's more common so I got it squared away

I was going to try and find some 2017 PP Brembo's off a crashed car or something and take advantage of the Update/Backdate in the TT5 rules to get the big brakes without taking the penalty but it's too cost/time prohibitive so just opted to go with what I could find the best deal on.

You have all the right resources immediately available to save you that time!

I believe C2's are available for the 8250 shape as well.

The car should be awesome in TT5.

I'm new to this and looking to do an event this weekend. I have a Bell motorcycle helmet with 'ECE 22.05' on the back. SCCA's rules state 'ECE R 22.05 certified helmets are also allowed' (mine does not have the R). As far as I can tell these are the same thing. Is my helmet compliant?

They are not the same.

Do not use a Motorcycle helmet in a car.

Hi Mike, Question for you. I have a 2017 BRZ for which I plan to autocross 5-10x a year. I'm getting an alignment soon and plan to have -4 degrees of camber in the front and -2.5 in the rear with 1/16th toe in in the rear. I plan to do a handful of track events a year, so my question for you is, will that much negative camber in the front significantly negatively impact acceleration and braking performance?

From my understanding most guys that track their BRZ/FRS don't dial in more than -3.5 degrees in the front.

Acceleration? No. Braking? Perhaps.

Acceleration? No unless you get wheelspin.

Braking? possibly. Depends on the rest of your setup.

Most people don't drive their car in a way that put enough heat into things or have a 3" exhaust pipe right next to things either.

I addressed it in my T4 build and a cost effective way of addressing it.
https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...&postcount=134

The heat presents 2 risks: 1) it bakes away the grease causing it to deteriorate and eventually fail and 2) sudden change in temperature (like going 10/10ths immediately on a cold morning) can cause the boot to balloon and explode.

I was on the phone with Driveshaft Shop talking about axles and they confirmed my practice which is cover the 3 bases: Good Grease, Breathable boot and keep unnecessary heat away.
